Those whom are smaller may wear it on their hips. I recommend a size 6 in order to wear it on your waist. I reconstructed this skirt out of a vintage granny skirt. I took the skirt apart and re created a bubble skirt. I have it shown as a high waisted skirt, but it can also be worn on the hips. The inside bubble is lined with the same polka dot pattern. I am in love with this skirt and there is only ONE in the world! Throw on a pair of tights under this skirt and your ready for winter in this baby!See less

He specialized in evening wear, particulary dresses with fitted, high waisted bodices and full skirts in the babydoll style that was popular at that time. This black silk peau de soie dress is a sophisticated, elegant version of that look. Flattering sweetheart neckline is pulled in and gathered on the sides. Vintage dress clips added there would add a lovely hint of sparkle. Sleeves are long and very fitted with zippers at the openings. Diagonal seaming front and back help give the bodice its figure hugging fit. Full, gathered skirt has two pleats in front where two pockets are hidden in the seams. Fully lined in black silk.
