(07/07/08) Robo Suck Activate! In the future, robots will probably declare war on humanity and eradicate us all. Or at least, they'll use our electrical energy to power their favorite MMORPG's. For now, though, we're pretty safe. But a few robots have declared a war on crumbs, lint, and snips of paper. Working together, you and your Robo Vac will clean up your desk of all the things Robo Vacs hate - making your office a little nicer in the process. Each Robo Vac has (for lack of a better term) a "suck hole" on the bottom of its body. Press the button on the top of its head and move it around your desk. You'll thrill as you see the host of crumbs you've been accumulating disappear as the Robo Vac sucks them up. When your desk is clean, just press the button to turn the Robo Vac to "dirt sentry mode" (that is, "off"). Emptying the "detritus storage pod" is easy, so you'll be able to put the trash where it belongs. ROBO VAC SUCK NOW.See less

(07/07/08) Hide your stuff in plain sight Geeks are notorious for collecting small and expensive things. Usually electronic, but sometimes they are mineral in nature. The point is, they are valuable - either monetarily, or with emotional significance, and they need to be kept safe. Your stuff could just as easily be someone else's stuff - all it takes is a appropriately awesome object worth stealing, and a really cruddy job of locking it up. What are you thinking, sticking it in a safe? What nonsense! Where's a thief going to look first? That's right - your safe. Stupid. Hiding in plain sight - that's what you need to do. We've glued two random hardcover books together, drilled out several hundred pages, and boom-shanka! You've got the perfect hiding space for nearly 80 cubic inches of stuff. Place these books crammed full of treasure on your bookshelf, and nobody will be the wiser.See less

(07/07/08) An easy way to conceal your stuff The Hidden Wall Safe is handy because most burglars spend less than six minutes inside a victims home and only have time to check the most obvious places for valuables. These unique wall safes allow you to hide valuables inside one of many identical looking wall outlets you already have in your home, the last place someone is likely to look. According to the Chicago Police these units are better than a locked safe and a hundred times cheaper. Worried about the outlet cover not matching your other outlets? (07/07/08) Procrastinate At The Office With Confidence! Feet have been a major factor in the course of human history. If it wasn't for feet, so many great heroes of the past would have had to sit down or risk tipping over. The sound of feet is how you know when someone is approaching your cubicle and it is time to hurry and close the game running on your computer. Too many close calls can lead to unnecessary office stress. The Stealth Switch is the answer. Quickly install the software and plug the hidden foot switch in (it goes either between the keyboard and your computer, or just into an available USB port) and you are safe. It hides in the shadows and just a light tap of your toes will let it work its magic. Based on your preferences, it can hide the current window, hide all windows, or hide all windows except for specified windows. Not just minimize, mind you, but totally erase from your screen. The Stealth Switch can also mute the sound, hide the taskbar, hide the desktop icons, and password...See less

(07/07/08) Hello? Dummy? Time to water me! Plants need water - even the most arid-climate-loving plants need it from time to time. As a geek, you might very well have a pot with something brown that was once green in it. Shame on you. All you had to do was give it a drink every now and then, and you failed. Way to go. There are plenty of detectors on the market. They all check the conductivity of the soil. If there is enough water, than the salts in the soil dissolve, allowing a tiny amount of current to run through the electrodes. The lower the resistance, the higher the water content. Trouble is, that's not accurate enough. Our Thirsty Light digital moisture meter uses a patented process to actually interpret the readings it gets, and gives you a far more precise measurement of the dryness of the potting medium. No cryptic readings to gauge - if your plant needs water, the head of the Thirsty Light blinks. It's really that easy. So no more excuses! Get yourself a little living plantlife in your...See less

(07/07/08) Lockdown your USB ports This little device is basically a security lock for your USB ports. It can help protect your data and prevent illegal access to confidential information. It works by placing a blocker (the lock) inside the USB port which will prevent any connection. This lock is the same shape as a USB connector and sits in the USB port. It is designed to only be removed using the USB Security Lock device. It comes with 4 locks which can be stored inside the device body, underneath the slide cover. The device shape and size are similar to a typical USB flash drive.See less

(07/07/08) A devious hide and seek game The ThinkGeek Annoy-a-tron would be useless against an army of Snowbots, but it's very effective at disturbing that guy in the sales department or your "friend" down the hall. With its thin design and embedded magnet for easy hiding, the Annoy-a-tron can be placed in a variety of locations. Select one of the three sound choices (2 kHz, 12 kHz, or alternating) and push the switch to the on position. Place it in a proper hiding spot and let the "fun" begin. The Annoy-a-tron generates a short (but very annoying, hence the name) beep every few minutes. Your unsuspecting target will have a hard time 'timing' the location of the sound because the beeps will vary in intervals ranging from 2 to 8 minutes. The 2kHz sound is generically annoying enough, but if you really really want to aggravate somebody, select the 12 kHz sound. Trust us. The higher frequency and slight 'electronic noise' built into that soundbyte will make a full-grown Admin wonder where his...See less

(07/07/08) Some kinda paper voodoo! Staples have become a scourge to the office environment. Those shiny metal wires have jammed in thumbs, caught on sweaters, and torn papers. The horrors are just too numerous to mention. Recently, at ThinkGeek World Domination Headquarters, an entire afternoon was spent watching a government mandated corporate safety video that showed, in excruciating slo-motion Tarantinoesque detail, just how terrible accidents with staples can be. ThinkGeek employees, however, rolled their eyes... for they had converted to an entirely staple free environment. We found in our travels a device that staples papers together - without staples! Oh, we're not crazy, this thing is real. This handy (and might we add - environmentally friendly) device cuts a tiny flap in the corner of your paper, and folds it in on itself, tucked in a tiny paper pocket. Sleek, small, and coming in chaotic-evil black, deep blue, and smokey "clear", the Staple Free Stapler can clip together up to five...See less

(07/07/08) The Second Law of Thermodynamics Embodied in a Glass Bird These "Dippy Birds" have been around for years, and you can't fool us - you've always wanted one. Now's your chance! But do you understand how it works? Do you get the complex relationship between chemistry and physics that makes this simple heat engine operate? Is it a perpetual motion machine, or is it something more than that? Well, the answer is it's more than that. The Second Law of Thermodynamics states (paraphrased) that energy can neither be created nor destroyed in a closed system. So how does that relate to our little glass birdie here? The goop in his butt is methylene chloride has a very low boiling point, and therefore evaporates quickly. At room temperature, one or two degrees temperature difference causes the bright red chemical to climb to his head. Suddenly topheavy, he falls over. The felt head, soaked in the water from the cup, cools the methylene chloride, and it drains back to the bottom. The bird rights...See less

(07/07/08) Riff on This! The oldest drums discovered (so far) have been from around 6000BC. What this means is pretty clear: humans like hitting things; humans like music; and humans like hitting things to make music. We like hitting things too - and we love music. So good thing for everyone we found these Finger Drums. Stop hitting your mugs and monitor and telephone with pens and start tapping a real beat on your Finger Drums drum set. Each drum set features five touch sensitive percussive instruments. You get three smaller drums (snare and two toms), bass drum (with working pedal), and crash cymbal. All you have to do is hit them with your fingers to get a beat a-rockin'. You'll also get a mini light show, as each drum (and cymbal) lights up on impact. And the super cool thing is the record feature. Got a good riff going? Then record it and play it back ad nausuem. This feature has many uses, but we find it's perfect for joke telling. Record your own sting and play it back after each punch...See less

(07/07/08) Levitation Is No Longer The Sole Domain Of Yogis Or Magicians! These electromagnetic suspended globes are actually high-tech instruments. A magnetic field sensor continually measures the height at which the globes are suspended. This sensor feeds that data into a micro computer in the base of the unit. This computer then calibrates the electronic magnets at the top of the frame based on the distance between the globes and the top magnet to keep the globes correctly positioned. All in the blink of an eye! So not only do these look great on your desktop levitating in thin air, they are also technology marvels! When you initially get your globe and plug it in, it may take you a few minutes to correctly position the globe in between the base and top magnets. You'll figure it out quickly enough and before you know it, you'll be able to set it up in just a few seconds every time. Once it's levitating, you can even spin it slightly and watch the globes rotate for extend periods of time. Just...See less
