Tutvid.com was started in mid 2006 and has been growing ever since thanks to the great amount of support that the site has received I started Tutvid.com when I saw that not too many video tutorials were available on the web, and the few that were available were usually poorly made and/or hard to follow. Plans for expanding Tutvid.com are in the works and hopefully soon you will be able to download full courses on Adobe's applications and whole start to finish projects from the site. See less

Simple navigation is located on the left hand side of the page. Make sure you understand the basics of layering and selection before jumping straight into the tutorials. Each tutorial will be shown using CS3 on the Mac. Don't worry, I'll have explanations for the Windows based user in the text as you read so that you won't get lost. There is not that much difference at all. I will be using text and images to help you through your experience using the software. I have opted not to use video tutorials. As far as I know you don't add them into the photoshop program. You probably can, I don't know. You load them into the font folder on your computer. If you're on a PC, go into the My Computer folder, find the Windows folder, and then the font folder.... See more

On a Mac, go into the harddrive icon, find the library folder and then the font folder. When you open up photoshop the new font should be there. Good luck! See less

I'm not sure of any tutorial.. I just did it with Trial and Error... There is always the undo Button You'll just need to find a nice whimsical background.. And a cute Fairy Wing brush.. and what ever other brush you'd like to add to the picture..... See more

Carefully click all around the things you want to leave colored (like my sons eyes - do around one, once it is closed off, do around the other) 4. Once you have everything selected - right click and choose "Make selection" 5. Be sure to use the feather feature - it gives it a "real" appearance .. play around with the pixel settings as everyone has different tastes 6. Click "select" on the top menu and choose "inverse" 7. Click "image" on the top menu and choose "adjustments" then choose "desaturate" - This will make the other things black and white (You can also play around with filters and such at this point and it will affect the black and white portions of the picture 8. Deselect and you are done! :) All I did for my son's picture was the same as this, but after I selected his eyes and made them bluer than normal (for effect purposes) I went back and used the pen tool... Then, using the Rectangular Marquee Tool, select several vertical rectangular areas across the layer and Edit > Fill them with a colour of your choice (in this case I chose #6988B5). You should end up with something that resembles my image on the left. It isn't important to copy the same pattern, so just use your own creativity - in the end, it all adds to the uniqueness of the effect. | Step 2: Now all you have to do is run Filter > Distort > Polar Coordinates with the 'Rectangular to Polar' option selected, and press OK. And there you go - a very simple hard-edged starburst effect. This technique yields a very distinctive and attractive burst effect with an almost cartoon-like... See less

So I brought my older two to Wal-mart last year before Christmas to get their pictures taken professionally for the first time (and last) and the lady gave up after 5 minutes........ I learned how to use photoshop in high school while working at a tv station and we've always had it on our computer but a few months ago I really started playing around with it and I finally figured out how to take nice pictures with our camera and now I am absolutely obsessed!! Now I love getting those ads from Sears, JCPennys, etc and thinking "I CAN DO THAT!!" Like this, Sears will charge 25 bucks for this in an 8x10 and I can print it at Wal-Greens for 3 bucks!!!!!!!!!! Soon we are getting a much nicer camera and I am learning more and more about Photoshop all the time!! which is why I joined this group... right now my skills are pretty limited, I just discovered downloading brushes, wow, that is fun!! Right now I just love doing collages or b&w with a little color... I have a few more projects on my... See less

I came up with it before my Photoshop days, so I just hot glued roses to some fabric leaving a bare spot in the middle for the baby to lay, laid it on the floor, stood on a stool and shot down. I've also draped it over the back of a chair for my oldest's pictures. Works...
