Green Clown Goby - Gobiodon atrangulatus The Green Clown Goby, also known as the Earspot Coral Goby is common within the reefs of the Indo Pacific, found usually among soft and hard coral colonies. They are a small stocky shaped fish with a very large head for their size. There are many different color variations, and this species is a yellow to greenish-tan color with orange vertical stripes on its head. The Green Clown Goby are a peaceful fish that makes a wonderful addition to a reef aquarium containing colonies of polyp corals, as they enjoy swimming and hiding amongst the polyps. The Green Clown Goby are perfect fish for any sized reef especially nanos because they stay nice and small. The Pom Pom Crab is white to tan in coloration and has darker markings covering the body which serve as camouflage for the crab. This crab carries an anemone in each claw which it uses for defense. Besides defense, the crab will also use the anemones to mop up food off of the rocks and substrate. The Pom Pom Crab is an interesting addition to an aquarium with its anemones in each hand. It raises these anemones at would be predators and aids in cleaning the aquarium of any left over food and detritus. Caution should be used when adding this crab to a reef aquarium as the anemones could sting sessile invertebrates and corals. The damage that could potentially be caused by these tiny anemones that come on each claw would be minimal due to their very tiny size. An ideal environment should have a thick gravel bed for burrowing, and rocks for hiding, as well as live rock on which to hunt. After molting, the Reef Lobster will need a secure hiding place, such as a cave, while it waits for its new exoskeleton to harden. The cave can be designed so that the lobster can be seen during the day, but it usually will spend most of the daylight hours hiding from the light. It prefers to scavenge and hunt at night. The Reef Lobster is described as peaceful, and it will ignore sleeping Wrasses or healthy fish within the aquarium. If you watched the video, then you're probably wondering, "Do they really implode?" Oh yeah, baby. They implode alright. The bottle is much larger than one the other stuff I was buying and the two tips for the syringe are very useful, esp. in the corners of my nano. You can tell this stuff is different the first time you shoot it into an anemone. It has a thick consistency and they really must detect it as food because they gobble it up. Then the countdown begins. 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 ... IMPLODE! If you just read this review and still go buy another brand without trying this, you're doing your tank a disservice. I wiped out colonies occupying huge areas of live rock and they haven't returned. I am definitely satisfied. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends. See less

(Anonymous) | I ordered 25 pounds of this base rock to add to my existing 125gallon reef because I didn't want to deal with any "hitchhikers" that tend to come with live rock, no matter how great the quality...I just needed more room for coral placement and hiding spaces for my rapidly growing fish. I added a "request" for them to cherry pick some good pieces for ledges and caves, and quickly received an email saying "We will take care of you!". I received the rock within days of my purchase, and I have to say, I couldn't be happier. They DEFINITELY took care of me, and knew EXACTLY what rocks would be perfect for what I needed! Also, when they say they "add a little extra to make up for rubble", they ARE NOT lying! Packaging was PERFECT, with NO rubble, but DEFINITELY added extra rock! The Pumping Xenia Coral is also known as Pulse Coral, or Waving Hand Coral. They are colonial animals with multiple individual polyps attached to a piece of solid substrate. They form stalks as they grow, and to reproduce. The eight-tentacle polyps can pump, or pulse, and many scientists believe the pumping action of the polyps slowly opening and closing is designed to dispose of gasses and waste. However, it is still unknown why these coral do pulse, and there are many water, lighting and nutrient factors involved. It is not necessarily a sign of ill health if they do cease to pulse. The parent colony of these coral frags was acquired from one of the aquariums in our company and then quarantined and given a health inspection before being propagated. Aquacultured Xenia are hardier than wild-caught species and tend to reproduce quickly. Therefore, provide adequate space between them and sessile animals, especially other types of soft corals. These Birdsnest corals are a beautiful species that is aquacultured within the USA, and grows very thin intertwining branches. It's pink coloration will grow darker in the aquarium with age. This is a relatively fast growing species, and because of its delicate branches, care should be taken in the placement of the coral in order to protect it from physical damage. These Birdsnest coral requires high lighting and intermittent water current to maintain its bright colors. For continued good health, it will also require the addition of calcium, strontium, and other trace elements to the water. While it does not require additional food to maintain its health in the reef aquarium, it will feed on micro-plankton and foods designed for filter feeding invertebrates. They will thrive in a variety of lighting conditions, ranging from power compacts, VHO, T-5's up to the more intense metal halides.
