The legs are dadoed into the sides and the bottom of the storage area is also dadoed into the legs and the sides. Making this bench in this fashion will provide years and years of use with out the worry of it becoming loose and rickety like most benches found today. You will not find any ugly screw holes or nails anywhere on the outside of this bench because there are none. By using high quality building techniques this allows us to put any fasteners used on the inside where they cant be seen. This bench is made out of solid pine and stands 17 inches high, 36 inches long and 11 inches wide. It is available in other sizes and types of wood. If you are looking for something different just ask. The bench shown is hand painted in Olde Century Colors Buttercup Yellow Paint and it is lightly distressed with an Antiquing Glaze.
