Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend This is a great tripod for the money. The ball head is silky smooth and it holds up my D80 with 80-400mm Nikkor lens and SB-600 flash (7lb total) at any position with ease. The tripod is very light and is perfect for vacations, hikes, and whatever else you might need it for. The quick release legs collapse and extend quickly and are very sturdy. No leg wobble like you might expect at this price. Even with the center column and all the legs fully extended this pod is sturdy enough to take long exposure images with no issue. The case it comes with is also pretty nice and the strap is adjustable. The only thing I would change is have 2 separate levers for the pan and ball lock feature. But like I said, the ball head is extremely sturdy and the price is great! See less
