At any moment I have one of these extravagant necklaces in the works. It is because I live to design rich and elaborate jewelry like this and no other style makes me happier. I take them apart and put them together until I am happy with the silhouette. I can't tell you how many hours of loving work went into it. This necklace is made with turquoise-color beads and rondelles and with copper-color fire-polished Czech beads. The center piece is a copper-plated filigree piece I appropriated from another piece of jewelry and so are the enamel end-caps in the back. I embellisehd the center using a copper plated tassel and another repurposed piece from an older piece of jewelry, which I laid over the filigree piece. The necklace is 17" long at its shortest (42.5 cm) and can have extenders added to your length of choice. It closes in the back with a lobster-claw clasp. The pendant at the center of this necklace is made using a matte gold-plated casting to which I added polymer clay and Swarovski rhinestones.
