The wooden frames are attached alongside one axis, allowing you to play with them and create different overlapping spaces, which in turn allow the light to stream out. The Little Joseph candle holder, continuously changes over time and is a fascinating object to play with. It starts out pretty bald and some say 'bland', but over time, changes his appearance. Depending on what color wax you use, Joseph might have dark 'hair' or be white. Depending on how much you play with it, you can actually start 'designing' his hairstyle, or simply turn him into a bum by letting the wax simply run down...
