I own many pairs of Levi's and all of them are somewhat stiff and don't give a lot on the first or second wear. BUT.....wash them once in cold water and hang dry and wear a 2nd and 3rd time. Now you have your favorite fitting jeans. They will fit like they are make for you. The demi boot cut are my favorite jeans in my closet along with my 501 boyfriend. I have only worn these twice....the 2nd wear was much more comfortable than the first. (I had to unbutton them at dinner the first time I wore them). In order to get these on the first time, I had to shimmy and shake to get them up and then lie down on the bed to button them. As for appearance....these jeans make you look slim and your butt look really shapely. I am a perfect 28 and that's what I ordered in these jeans just for reference.
