We are a small family in Queen Creek, Arizona with a happy flock of Heritage Breed Barred Plymouth Rock Hens. We started our flock because we missed the delicious, wonderful farm fresh eggs that Grandma had on her farm...now we would like to share that unique taste with you, our friends, family, and local community. Our eggs are the product of our family's love for fresh, local food. We believe that by teaching our children where our food comes from we will instill in them a deep sense of responsibility for thier own future and give them the skills they will need to provide for themselves. Raw organic milk remains wholesome even when it sours. Pasteurized milk, on the other hand, becomes putrid. -- Pasteurization was promoted as a remedy to milk problems when low grade milk was being produced by "swill dairies" that were feeding the by-products of whiskey making to the cows. These malnourished animals were not able to create a milk that would normally have fought off pathogenic bacteria. To make matters worse, milk was collected in open containers and often handled by people who were ill. It was no wonder that it made people sick. Today we have eliminated the need for pasteurization by solving the problems that caused the need. Our cows are vibrantly healthy, being fed only a diet of the best organic foods. Our closed collection system insures that the milk goes straight from the cow into a clean chilling tank. We also do not use milk from other farms, so we don't run the risk of outside contamination.
