1. select your fabric and decide on the size pillowcase you want to make.. I use material that is a standard 43-45 inches wide. That makes it easy to work with when doing pillowcases. If you are making standard size cases, you will cut your main fabric 27-28 inches long along the width of the fabric. Remember, these are your cases, you don’t have to stick to strict measurements. Feel free to play! For the accent material, again I use a fabric that is 43-45 inches in width. Cut this fabric about 2 inches long ( and 43-45 wide). For the “cuff” of your case, you can either use the same material that you used for the main body of the case, or you can select a third material… This piece should again be cut across the entire 43-45 inch width of the fabric, but about 10-12 inches long, again, don’t be afraid to play… maybe you want your cuff to be longer, or shorter.
