My son was born in Japan during the cherry blossom or "sakura" season. Just before his birth, I collected some twigs with the buds ready to open in a few weeks much like my son's expected appearance. I cast them in silver and made this necklace. The necklace is made with one silver cherry blossom bud branch. It has one white fresh water pearl, which represents the "mother" below hang several faceted citrine drops. One for each child. This listing is for up to 4 citrines. My spring is just this: a single bamboo shoot, a willow branch. -Kobayashi Issa Soft, smoky green prehnite is one of my favorite jewelry stones. I’ve never seen a rock quite like it. It has a luster almost like pearl or moonstone, and it subtle, feminine color goes with practically anything. To make this pendant, I alternated five pear-cut briolettes of pale, misty green prehnite with tiny white freshwater pearls. The briolettes are slightly graduated in size, from 7 to 10mm. They are of well cut, and have a few lovely, ferny inclusions. The pearls are of an exceptional lustre, smooth and iridescent. For freedom of movement, each stone is hung individually from a round-linked sterling chain. The pendant is hung from a length of sterling silver cable chain, which is asymmetrically embellished with twelve matching freshwater pearls.
