It’s not the most common gifts, because it’s not a toy and it’s more expensive than the rest of the Totoro (トトロ) franchise products and souvenirs. (If you don’t know what Totoro is, shame on you. It’s one of the best anime movies ever made.) This plastic dome clock is also a music box. You can set it to chime every hour, or you can press a button located at the back of the base and the Totoro theme music will play. When the music plays, the two rings inside the dome rotate, and the buses on the outer ring slowly hop and the Totoros in the inner ring spin. I got this clock because it’s truly special, has high potential to become a collectible (in 50 years, I guess), and most of all, I LOVE CLOCKS. However, one should never get too many clocks in their home. I am talking about Chinese Fung Shui here.
