The bottom layer features a delicate silk skirt in either white or ivory - we also offer a limited line of other colors for this portion of the gown - email us for details. It gives the cake a very elegant and distinctive appearance. You can even get a claddagh cake topper to finish off the look of the cake. Another look for an Irish wedding cake is shamrocks. As you can see in the picture, I took an elegant design and added shamrocks along the beaded border. Unfortunately, the cake topper was not available at the time of the picture. A Celtic or Irish trinity knot topper would look great on this cake. If you donÂ’t want to go totally Irish, you can bring in your Irish heritage by placing claddagh designs, rings or trinity knots around the bottom of the cake.
