Pennsylvania coatings company applies high-tech protective coating to valves that NASA plans to use to extract oxygen from lunar and Martian soil. By using the oxide-rich soil, NASA will be able to provide oxygen for astronauts to breathe and for propulsion, eliminating the need for spacecraft to carry heavy loads of liquid oxygen.
