Target Wants to Make Beauty Shopping Better

Target wants to make shopping for drugstore brand beauty products better and easier. The retailer is testing a new Beauty Concierge program in 45 of its Chicago-area stores. The beauty advisers will be trained in key products across all the department's brands. The employees will be working from a kiosk in the cosmetics department and will be armed with mirrors and iPads to help customers test and select the right product. If the experiment goes well, Target will look to expand the program to 400+ stores in the next year.

What do you think? Would you like more help and guidance when shopping for drugstore beauty products?

I would be all over this; even if just for the novelty. I wonder why they chose so many stores in one area. ?

@miss_daphne Apparently they chose the Chicago area because it "includes all its store formats and a broad cross-section of consumers."
