  I think the fur hoodie would help tone down the WOW factor of the boots a bit more tha nthe shiny drapey jacket. It would be the perfect tone down item. The shiny and draped factor of the other jacket might only serve to help you stand out more, and draw the eye lower towards the boots.   Like @agauthier79 said, dress for you and don't care about other people's opinions too much. Although, I guess you have to care about your bosses opinion! I think the second jacket would tone the boots down a little. I can see them with a really prim, girly coat too, like a nice mix of sweet and tough.
