Winter Dilemma

Oct 13, 2009 in Style and Fashion
Hellz Bellz - Women's...
Dolce Vita - Marilyn Boot...
Obey - Women's NIKKI 2...
As a 5'4" petite girl, I just want to say that high-heeled, long boots do wonders for me when it comes to making my legs look longer and my figure sleeker yet "sturdier" at the same time. But alas, I am in love with the Dolce Vita Marilyn Boot (pictured above center) but would like to take a walk through "normalville" without getting multiple raised eye-brows and double glances (the bad kind) for, well, looking "too" dressed. Hence, I've scrambled for ways to dress these boots down a little by pairing it with a cotton, fur laced hoodie obey Nikki 2 jacket or a shiny past-the-hips drapey Hellz Bellz Kruger jacket. Throw in a fitting innerwear and maybe some chunky jewelry and I think I've got myself a chic outfit that'll turn heads but still ride on the acceptable line for walking through the office. Yay or nay, what do you guys think?

I think the fur hoodie would help tone down the WOW factor of the boots a bit more tha nthe shiny drapey jacket. It would be the perfect tone down item. The shiny and draped factor of the other jacket might only serve to help you stand out more, and draw the eye lower towards the boots. Though, honestly, people who give you the bad double looks are just jealous of your style ;) Don't let 'em get you down, be you!

Like @agauthier79 said, dress for you and don't care about other people's opinions too much. Although, I guess you have to care about your bosses opinion! I think the second jacket would tone the boots down a little. I can see them with a really prim, girly coat too, like a nice mix of sweet and tough.

The hoodie is the best choice to help with those double glances!!! : }
