I'm bummed. There. I said it.

Spring is coming, which means that it's almost time for prom season. Which, of course, gets every girl in the whole entire world excited, including yours truly, the extremely hopeless romantic.

I had this year all planned out: I would fall for an upperclassman, seduce him with my *ahem* wits, and he would whisk me, wearing a frothy confection, away to prom, where we would dance the night away.

Well, that didn't work last year, and so far it hasn't worked this year. Damn. And to top it all off, my school has two dances a year: Homecoming and Prom. How stupid is that?

I even have my dress all picked out on the off chance that my Freshman (I'm dating someone younger than me! *GASP*) bf and I break up and an upperclassman asks me to prom. It's highly likely that someone else'll wear it, but it's so beautiful that I can't resist it. I tried it on when I went "shopping" for a homecoming dress. I'm in love.

I'm happy that I least I got to wear a prom-like gown to homecoming (that's me on the right). It is absolutely gorgeous, with red beading down the front and a corseted (!) back.

What are/would all of you wear to prom this year?
