Strappy Heel Over The...
So today, as I was casually procrastinating, I stumbled across these boots on freepeople.com. And I fell in love. I've never liked the over-the-knee boot trend. I've always said that they looked like stripper boots. But then I saw these, possibly the stripper-ist of them all, and I've changed my attitude. Yes, you might get horns honked at you, and maybe there are certain street corners that you shouldn't wear them late at night, and you should probably not wear them to Grandma's Christmas dinner, but they're kind of amazing. If I was famous and could wear whatever the hell I wanted without people thinking I was crazy, and I had this amount of money sitting around to be spent on said items, I would snatch these up in a heartbeat. Alas, I am but 16 years old, and I do not think that spending almost all of my clothing allowance money on one item that I might not even be allowed to wear would be a wise choice. But a girl can dream... and drive her parents crazy asking for an advance :P

What do you all think of the over-the-knee boot trend? And what about in contrast to last winter's little bootie trend.
Are there any items that you now own that you had lusted after for a long time/are there any items now that you're saving up for?

I like some over the knee- boots, these are cute, but some people just don't know how to where them and they look really trashy.

These are definitely interesting even though I'm not a huge fan of the knee highs. They do look good with jeans, I like that. I'd probably spend my money on a more versatile boot that I could wear to school, on the weekends etc. instead of blowing all my money on something that wouldn't be appropriate for most occasions :)

I always liked over the knee boots for some reason. I think they are super cool! specially when you have long legs! ahha

i dont really like over-the-knee boots...but these are kinda cool! :P and lol, nice jokes X) as for the bootie trend last winter, i have to say i bought the cutest pair of plaid booties. but sadly, they were thrown away by my mom who didnt even mention it! well, they were falling apart drastically. so now, i am saving up for a blazer, boots, an embellished shirt i saw at the mall, an ed hardy shirt, a pair of designer jeans, a cool skirt, boyfriend jeans, leg warmers, some sexy gloves :P, a new sweatshirt, another top i saw at the mall, ripped jeans, a new cardigan, kitten heels, a new statement necklace, a cool headband, new sneakers, funky leggings, a plaid shirt, a maxi-dress(i know, it's almost winter), jean shorts, a hat, a sports jersey, a new tote, and another sweater. yup, thats pretty much my entire wishlist. (: -anna<33

I like the longer boot trend, not up to the thighs but pretty close. As for these... they are alright, the heel is a bit chunky for me and the price is ridiculous. I am 16 as well, and I'm not sure i'd wear them

I love the boots and the trend, however, i'm far too short to even bother trying boots that go up this high. I would look ridiculous wearing shoes that covered my entire legs LOL.

@bellabe3: I agree with you! So many people try to pair them with too short skirts and it's just not a good look
@soofaye: hahaha yeah I'd never buy these for that reason. I prefer something that more versatile.
@tatianatouch: yeah I think they can be really awesome :)
@aannnnaaxoxo32: aww I'm sorry about your booties! Sounds like you have some fun shopping ahead of you :)
@maye_: hahaha yeah I'm not really sure where'd I'd be able to wear them either, but it's fun to look :)
@renasinlauren: hahaha :)

These boots are amazing. But if I would wear these around my family would think bad thing of me big time.
On Halloween one year I wore red go go with my costume they were great. They still gave me a hard time.!!! : }

@kelsjax: hahaha same XD I wouldn't be allowed out of the house

I love over the knee boots, but as I'm over a decade older than you, I don't have to worry about my parents, haha. I think they look great and hope you enjoy wearing them in a few years!

@elenalee : hahaha :)

I agree these boots are amazing. I actualy purchased some stripper-esque boots last year, and I break them out every now and then. I'm not very fond of the over the knee boots but these are just so edgy and raw *sigh* unfortunately I'm a broke college student.

I love the high boots. I think it's a hot trend, if paired with the right outfit. And I think these boots rock!

@carringtoncalamity: I'd love to get some cool edgy boots, but my parents won't even let me wear Dr. Martens :/
@jinnyjinn: I agree with you, it really does depend on the outfit

i like the detail on these shoes

I love them over skinnies. and layered socks.

@shaniece: yeah i think all the buckles are really cool :)
@copperncherrio: I LOVE boots with socks :)

I have no opinion on the trend-at-large. I've seen as many that I dislike as I like. But I think this pair is pretty fantastic.

lol stripper boots ^.^ i sorta liked the over the knee boots style but im unfortunately too short to wear my those boots (even though they're really cute) i have huge feet and im barely 5 feet tall :( sigh well at least i can dream :)
