You all know I love purses. But the reason I can afford to have so many is I'm a bargain shopper. For the nicest, most beautiful purse I own I paid less than $40. Sometimes your budget just forces you to live like that, and I'm happy to say I've gotten pretty good it. But none of my previous finds compares to what happened yesterday.

Since moving to Omaha, I discovered the store Gordmans. They didn't have them in Salt Lake City. It's a little like Kohl's, but I've never been a big fan of Kohl's. On the contrary, I'm obsessed with Gordmans. I always check out their purses when I'm there but had never bought one before, because they sell them at the suggested retail price.

I always swoon over the Jessica Simpson bags, but most seem to retail for around $80, so I never do more than look. Yesterday I spotted a JS bag on the clearance rack. It was marked down from $60 to $37, and I thought--this is something I can do! Then I noticed a big sign above the rack that said "All Clearance an Additional 33% off Today Only." What luck! THEN I noticed a tag on the purse I was looking at. Apparently, the zipper was broken so they were selling the bag as-is for 75% OFF. I almost hyperventilated. The zipper isn't even broken. I would describe it as temperamental perhaps, but not broken.

Bottom line, I scored this Jessica Simpson Lady Satchel for $6.19. It's so beautiful and perhaps the cheapest purse I've ever bought. I can't stop staring at it.
