I've played the sims ever since they first came out several years ago.
Basically, you make some people and buy a house for them or build one. You then furnish it ( I love this part ). After that, you just play with them. You can get them jobs, let them have kids, and take care of the house.
In the Sims 3, it is a "seamless" neighborhood, meaning there are no loading screens! If you wanna visit your neighbor, just walk on over there! You can also drive to the spa for a massage, visit the grocery store to buy more groceries when you run out, or visit the beach or park. There are plenty of other things; these are just a few!
I highly recommend this game :)

i havent played the sims in forever hahaha
sounds like fun! im with alysiawho on that! i haven't played forever also! i kinda stopped after the 2nd one came out! ill have to give this one a try! thanks for the info! :D
This game is so much fun. I've been a Sims addict for awhile so I was really excited when I heard they were making a new one...got it the first day it came out lol.
i have the 2nd one, but this sounds way more fun :]

i thought i was the only one. The sims, to me, is like an addiction. This time I promise not to waste 6 hours of my life to this drug, I call "Sims".

I love this game..
I always used to borrow my friends sims 2, and i loved building the house and furnishing it, but after that it kind of got to be a hassle...i never knew what to do with my people lol! so i just kept making more =]]]]
my computer doesn't meet the requirements, darn.
