Occasionally I am struck with a sudden urge to buy things, and without thinking about it, I just go and spend.
I needed to buy sandals, so I got the white Reefs for my BF's wedding, and at the same time picked up this super cute grey hoodie. My boyfriend questioned if I really needed another hoodie, and I then informed him I only really had two (maybe three) and I could of course use one more.
Yesterday after I went tanning on my lunch break, I decided to go to Macy's. I needed new powder and I had just noticed that my pores looked HUGE. Also, I need to wax my eyebrows, but anyways... On my way to the Clinique counter I decided to go to Origins instead. It might seem like a sudden change, but I happen to really dislike the girls at this particular Clinique counter. So instead of shelling out many bucks to the Clinique girls, I made friends with the Origins girl. She was super cute and fun, and she gave me a facial and did my makeup. I ended up buying the four products on the styleboard.
So far I love the makeup (well, as much as you can love something for using it twice). The skin products she said I should notice a difference in a couple days, so I am officially giving them two weeks to impress me. They definitely smell wonderful and make my skin soft - next they need to make my skin look prettier and I will be a happy girl.
Also, I bought my dad a black iPod nano for Father's Day. Hopefully it arrives soon since it shipped on Friday.

I'm with you on the sudden switch from Clinique - the sales people can make a big difference in your loyalty and interest. Who wants to give money to people who make your experience unenjoyable? Hope the Origins products work out! :-)

I love this little story. I do the same thing (tell little stories like this) so I'm glad you shared and I don't feel as weird now. :) Tell your boyfriend a girl can never have too many cute, comfy hoodies,,,or shoes...so get over it. ;)
