Things That Make Me Happy: Recycling!

While I love my cosmetics and beauty products, the disposable containers and packaging has always bothered me. Now my heart can rest a bit easier - Origins has come to my rescue! Their recycling program is one of the things that has gotten me really excited about using their products. Not only do they allow you to bring your empty containers (only full size products), but they accept containers from any brand!
For the M.A.C. fans out there, they have a recycling program as well. Although they only take their own product containers, they do give you a free lipstick for every six you bring in! I love their lipstick in Capricious and their Lustreglass in Instant Gold - they're both great everyday colors and they smell yummy.

Great post! I LOVE hearing that the big corporations are pitching in to do their part in a creative way for the environment! More people need to get creative and make recycling fun. BECAUSE IT CAN BE FUN! Now I can't wait to have 6 empty containers for my MAC lipstick!!! Thanks for sharing:)

I love that you wrote a post about this very important subject! I absolutely adore Origins...btw, how did their skin care products work out for you? Or is it too early to tell? :)
@jinnyjinn So far I'm really happy with the makeup - It blends well, matches my skin tone, and I've actually been using the foundation as a concealer also. I just use a concealer brush and dab it over the problem areas and it works great.
As far as the skincare products, they've been great so far. My skin is definitely smoother, I can totally feel the difference when I wash my face. I haven't observed any huge visual improvement in my skin tone, but I haven't analyzed that too much yet.
