4th of July $pending

Hope everyone had a great fourth of July weekend! If you spent anytime out shopping, you know there were some pretty good deals. I spent most of my paycheck on some great pieces, that kind of seemed to have some weird nautical/leather theme.
I went to a flea market on Friday, and snagged this 1960's leather bag with lot's of decorative flower detailing. I also got this cute little ship necklace for only 2 dollars. Bringing my total to $12 bucks.
Saturday, I went to the mall, and got a bandeau for around $4 dollars, in a slate color (beats American Apparel's $11) and an EXTREMELY comfy horizonal blue and white striped tank for around $4. They also have an incredible deal on jewelry- buy one get one free, and all sale jewelry is 30% off. I was able to snag 2 jeweled rings for around 4 dollars.
Lastely, I somehow got persuaded into buying leather boat shoes, around $70 dollars. No deal at all. But I guess they're less expensive then Nordstrom's 79.99. People love or hate boat shoes, I see them as a more practicle moccasin, sort of. This is my first pair so I'll see how they go.
For the night, I ended up going an hour away to go "see fireworks on the beach" with some friends, but they didn't end up having fireworks. Kind of dissapointing, but we ended up having a good time.
In the picture of me, I'm wearing the new tank top and bandeau, with the rings, necklace, and bag. I'm also wearing thrifted high waisted jean shorts, and a tri-blend cardigen from American Apparel.
What did you do to celebrate the holiday? Find any good deals? Do we love thrifting? What are your opinions on boat shoes?
Let me know ! :)
