I'm killing time before I head off to a party on the beach for my mom's office (yay Friday off!) and I stumbled across this little survey thingie.  It's home-related and I write about home stuff so why not. I'd love to see other Kaboodlers' answers too!  (That's a photo of my complex above.)

1. What kind of soap is in your bathtub right now?
A bottle of Fresh Hesperides, Philosophy Cinnamon Hot Dots and Philosophy Red Licorice (which was free)

2. Do you have any watermelon in your refrigerator?
Nope.

3. Is there anything moldy in your refrigerator?
Nope.

4. Are there any dirty dishes in your sink?
No.

5. What would you change about your living room?
Nothing, really.  I wouldn't mind a new/nicer couch, but I'm really happy with how everything is right now.  The addition of a fire place would be nice, too, I suppose.

6. Are the dishes in your dishwasher clean or dirty?
Clean.  I need to empty it today.

7. Do you have a can of mushrooms in your pantry?
No. I don't really do canned veggies.

8. White or wheat/brown bread?
Whatever. Usually some sort of brown.

9. What is on top of your refrigerator?
Tchotchkes I've collected over the years.  A Muppet lunch box, a David St. Hubbins doll, Beavis and Butt-Head figurines, Gumby and Pokey, a Pee Wee's Playhouse Shrinkydink, vintage Beatles cake toppers, and on and on and on.  Heh.

10. What color is your sofa?
Green.  Sort of a bright-ish grassy green.

11. What color or design is on your shower curtain?
It's white with a thin black border a few inches from the edges.

12. How many plants are in your home?
None in the house.  I don't like plants in the home.  I have a basil and a rosemary plant on my balcony.

13. How many candles are in your home?
A half-dozen or so scented candles.  They're kept out of sight unless they're in use.

14. Is your bed made right now?
I'm sitting in it.  It will be before I leave the house.

15. If you have a coffee pot, what color is it?
I have a Keurig coffee maker thingie.  It's black and grey.

16. Electric or standard can opener?
Standard.

17. Comet or Soft Scrub?
Both.

18. Is your closet organized?
Yes, but it's very full so it looks a little disorganized.

19. What color is the flashlight that you use the most?
I don't think I even own a flashlight.

20. What kinds of things are in your junk drawer?
Batteries, a hammer, packing tape, nails, other random stuff.

21. Do you drink out of glass or plastic most of the time at home?
Glass.  I don't have any plastic cups.

22. Do you have iced tea made in a pitcher right now?
No.  I don't care for iced tea.

23. If you have a garage, is it cluttered?
N/A

24. Curtains or blinds?
Ugly plastic vertical blinds (ah, apartment living).  They are open and as out of sight as possible 100% of the time.

25. How many pillows do you sleep with?
Four.

26. Do you sleep with any lights on at night?
No, though I sometimes sleep with the TV on.

27. How many ceiling fans are in your home?
None.

28. How often do you vacuum?
Weekly.

29. Standard toothbrush or electric?
Standard.

30. What color is your toothbrush?
White and blue, I think.

31. Do you have a welcome mat outside your front door?
Yup. It has a little gnome on it.  It's very cute.  Heh.  Alas, it's faded a bit, as I've had it for 4.5 years.

32. What is in your oven right now?
Nada.

33. Is your microwave clean or dirty?
Clean.

34. Is there anything under your bed?
Some Rock Band stuff, a couple blue IKEA bags.

35. Chore you hate doing the most?
Putting away laundry.

36. What retro items are in your home?
I have some vintage furniture I've picked up (a mid-century side table, mid-century footstool with a tweed cushion, '60s orange naugahyde armchair), my great-grandmother's jewelry box...  And I have two new turntables and an iPod dock that have been designed to look olde tyme.

37. Do you have a separate room that you use as an office?
No. I live in a 1BR apartment.

38. If you have a yard, who mows it?
N/A

39. Is there anything on your kitchen floor right now?
An orange rug in front of the sink.

40. How many mirrors are in your home?
A big bathroom mirror over the bathroom counter and a round antique mirror on the wall in the bathroom.

41. Do you have any hidden emergency money around your home?
No, so no need to rob me.  Heh.

42. What color are your walls?
White...desperately in need of repainting after living here for 4.5 years.

43. Which rooms in your house have wallpaper?
None.

44. Do you have a peephole in your front door?
Yup.

45. Do you keep any kind of protection weapons in your home?
No, though I keep meaning to buy a gun.

46. What does your home smell like right now?
Nothing in particular.

47. Favorite Candle Scent?
Something fallish/wintery.  Cinnamon-y or snow/pine/whatever wintery smell.

48. What kind of pickles (if any) are in your refrigerator right now?
I think I'm out right now.  I have some relish, cocktail onions, and olives, though. 

49. Who are in the pictures you displayed?
I don't do family photos.

50. What color is your favorite bible?
I'm an atheist, but I have a black copy of the bible (new and old testaments) and a blue copy of the Book of Mormon.

51. Do you have plenty of cabinet space in your kitchen?
I do.

52. Ever been on your roof?
I don't think my apartment would care for that.

53. Do you own a stereo?
I used to; had it since I was 8, but I finally parted with it last year.  Now I have two iPod docks and two turntables. I do still have my CD player, though.  I actually would rather listen to a CD than an MP3 for some reason.  But, most of the time when I listen to music in the house I listen to records.

54. How many TVs do you have?
Two.

55. How many house phones?
Just my cellphone.

56. Do you have a housekeeper?
No.  I have a 720 square-foot apartment.  I can handle cleaning it.

57. What style do you decorate in?
Mid-century inspired with whimsical touches.

58. Do you like solid colors in furniture or prints?
Solid.

59. Is there a smoke detector in your home?
One in each room.

60. In case of fire, what are the items you would grab if you only could make one quick trip?
No idea.  Maybe my baby blanket.

61. Do you know how to work your electrical box?
I assume so.  Never had to, but I can handle flipping switches.  Heh.

62. What temperature in your home is most comfortable to you?
Mid-upper-70s, I guess.
