So, you know how CND and OPI have that salon-only UV-treated gel/polish hybrid. Well, this company Nutra Nails came up with a way to get the same results at home, without UV curing. I spotted the Gel Perfect kit at Walgreens last night and had to try it out. It's a two-step process; you apply this "activating liquid" to your nails and then a coat of the polish. You do one hand at a time and then do a second coat of each. It went on super easily and dried in three minutes, just like they said it would. If it lasts as long as the salon-only stuff, I'm totally sold. I got it for $13.99 at Walgreens (where everything is overpriced) with a $1.50 coupon. Looks like it's $11.99 online at the site the product above is from and there are lots more colours than I saw at Walgreens.

I did what I did when I took off my CND Shellac. Wrapped acetone-soaked cotton balls in foil on my nails. They do, though, have pre-made little thingies that do the same thing. They were right next to the polish kits at Walgreens. Report Spam Posted by cristina at 2:28 PM on 02/02/12
