Tried a new polish....

So I finally decided to buy Sally Hansen's Nail Color Pen. I've been eying them for a while, but couldn't bring myself to spend $8.50 for something I thought I would end up hating. I painted my nails yesterday afternoon. I think I like it. I wouldn't use it for everyday, but it's good to have when you are in a hurry and need an emergency mani. The first coat went on smoothly but was very transparent. There were some spots near the cuticle that I had a hard time reaching. The second coat went on with a ton of brush strokes, but they disappeared as it dried (which it did very quickly). There is almost no shine, but not a true matte either. I think a good topcoat of clear would have been a good idea. The ends are already looking a little worn, but as I said for a quick fix, not bad.

Mm I always wanted to try this, because it sounded like it worked better then polish!! But reading this its a little better to stick with regular polish!!
Thanks for the post very helpful!!
This sounds like the Loreal quick drying nail polishes but in a pen. They look great, dry super fast but definitely need a topcoat!!! Thanks for the low down.
I've been wondering how well that works. Thanks for sharing =)
thnx for the review!!! ive been wondering how they work!
Thanks for posting this, it's helpful to have the info. :)
coolio! thanks for the review. its always great hearing others opinions before you go and buy.
I have always wanted to try this nail polish pen! Thanks for the review! I love blog posts like this.
I found these a lot easier to use than regular nail polish (no touch ups!) but I don't particularly like the colors it comes in....
mmhh......it looks really good on the bow though but of course it has to be for advertising
thx for sharing!
Thank you!! I have seen this but to be honest I really dont trust sally for more than make-up applicators....I dont know if I would get it but hey Im a mom so I really dont think about much than her and outlets...kaboodle!! LOL Thanks chick!
Thanks for the review! Like a lot of people said, I've been wondering about these.
these take some getting used to. they are great for on the go!
I love these! For myself i'm using the OPI collection Nic's sticks! It's easier to apply & the color last longer than i thought! I'm pretty sure the Sally hansen does the same as well! You could try it too and do a review of which brush works better!
sounds cool!
thanks for the review, i've been eyeing them too
Whoa, cool. But 8.50 one would hope for something that lasts longer.
I just got this recently too. It was a buy one get one free sale, so I figured what the heck. It was only 6.50 at my store. I liked how quick it went on, and after two coats, I loved the color ( I had it in the black cherry shade, I think - it was very dark purplish red). It didn't last long - chipped after a day or so, but it was nice how quick it applied. Came off well too - didn't leave a lot of red staining.
Interesting. I may try them out if they start coming in more colors. I'm pretty adept at the regular nail polish brush, so I'd rather just get the regular polish, I think.
I've used Nic's sticks in the past and they work really well and are super easy to use! I deff recomend them.
I've been wondering about those for a while now:) Thank you for review.
Used these and hated them, they worked nothing like they were advertised. Waste of money in my opinion :/
ooo this seems perfect for me...I only have the patience for a quickie manicure so though flawed, it's better than nothing (which I'm sporting right now btw)
Thanks for posting this! I've been wondering about these nail polish pens for a while, I might have to try it :)
Thanks for the review!
Are these the ones with the ads with the girls with the nails all fancy and designed?
thank you for the review.
i also was eying them but i didnt want to pay so much for it.
