Yay! I haven't broken a bone either.
Ps. Stunt driving school is WAY expensive.
I have never broken a bone either! Go us!
Yay for your new apartment!
We should start a superhero squad, with our unbroken bonedness.
Count me in!
Dude, how can you hate bananas?
Your pics are friggin' adorable.
We'll go around breaking other peoples bones and not being able to relate.
@kristi7 I cannot tolerate their taste/smell/texture. BLECH. Can't do it. & thanks! :o)
@rubyslippers: I am totally with you on the bananas for all the same reasons. I can't even stand it when someone eats a banana near me.
@gregsgal They're just so offensive!
cute new pic!
I'm a mostly German & Polish gal too! *waves hello* We are an interesting mix....
Love your pics! Never broken a bone either (woo hoo!).
@jinnyjinn Sweet, you can join our club!
What could we call ourselves?
Heh, "with a K." Yeah. I swear, I'm getting a tattoo that says, "With a C and no H," because I say it all the damn time. I especially love when I'm asked, "Is that with a C or a K?" Then they get my standard response...and usually look confused. Ha, ha! I've been asked to spell it. Um, you know how you were going to spell it Christina...Just skip the H. Augh! Ha, ha!
My favorite:
"What's your name?"
"Steve."
"Do you spell that with a ph?"
.............
THAT WOULD BE STEPHE.
If it makes you guys feel any better, when I tell people my name is Erin they say, "Now that's A-a-r-o-n, right?" Uh, yeah, IF I WAS A DUDE! Geez, it's not like it's a tricky name you never hear.
GG - you don't look like you sound very manly.. hahaha.
Aaron and Stephe.
@kabroskie and gregsgal - hahaha!
@cristina My mom was always obsessed with trying to find novelty items & decorations with my name on them. I have a lot of Christmas tree ornaments with "Kristina" on them. haha
I always try to stress my name so it sounds like "Err-in" not "Air-ron", but apparently no one ever listens.
Yeah, I don't think I sound terribly mannish...In fact, I always think I sound like I'm 6 on the phone and in messages, so, yeah...
@rubyslippers I'm drawing a blank on what we could call ourselves. Not feeling particularly creative at the moment...
No one ever spells my name right. They try to complicate it by adding extra letters. I get Adiele, Adielle, Adeil, Adele, etc...
And I've given up on correcting the pronunciation. ;)
So yeah, I feel all of your pain! :P
Ha, ha! Awesome. I have found exactly one thing - a little license plate. I found it last year and bought it just because. It's on my desk right now. :) Hell, even my high school diploma says Christina. *shakes head*

@triplyksis - Whatever, "Maddie"

I had an app on my Facebook "Spelling My Name for Dummies" and I've listed all of the wrong ways to spell my name. lol
@gregsgal - My husband's name is Aaron and people always spell it Erin - don't they know that's only for a girl?
@kabroskie I love that you're getting so much use out of that photo.
For anyone that doesn't follow me on Twitter, this is what I got when I told them my name at Startbucks. Close...
You know, I'd understand if my parents used some cockamaime spelling like Arigynn or something, but they didn't, so I can't understand the confusion. @weslee: that's the first time I've ever heard of a guy named Aaron being asked that.
@triplyksis - I thought it was hilarious.
"Is that your drink?"
"Yeah, it has to be..."
"Who's Maddie?"
"I have no idea."
@triplyksis: Hahaha...I love hearing some of the things poeple come up with when they "hear" my name. I've gotten Karen, Anna, Sara, and Dianne before, but I think yours takes the cake.
LOL! I'm loving this conversation! I spell my name in a weird way (well, my parents made me do it) and I could NEVER find personalized stuff that spelled it my way. People also pronounce the "h" in my name when they do learn how I spell it (Theresa), and I have to say, "Well, do you pronounce Thomas, Thhhhomas?"
I work with a girl named Christie and everyone on the phone thinks we're the same person. "Oh hi, I was just talking to you!" "Uh... what??"
@parnell: Odd, I think I've only ever seen your name spelled that way...Given, I've only known a couple Theresas, but still...
This conversation is a call for the general public to pay attention better I think :P
@parnell Ha, ha! Yeah, my last name ends in RE (as opposed to ER). People are eternally confused and pronounce is ree and not er. I say, "Do you pronounce theatre as thetree?" I don't know why it's so confusing!
@rubyslippers - Look what you have started.
You know what REALLY trips people up? Last names like Maurer or Froerer. You'd think it was said how it's spelled, but no. Maurer sounds like power and Froerer sounds like thrower...Craziness.
@cristina: I know, right? It's like common sense gets thrown out the window. Funny.
@gregsgal: I think it's more common now, for some reason, to spell it with the "h." When I was a kid, it was extremely hard to find anything personalized with the more traditional spelling.
@triplyksis, et al, I also have never broken a bone. Can I join, too?
So, I'm gonna go sulk in the corner since I can't be part of your super cool club. Stupid pinky...
@Parnell - YEAH! Our ranks are growing...
@kabroskie This is the most attention my blog has ever gotten. I love it! haha
You should see my (and probably everyone elses) "Notifications" window... hahah
Poor Erin, we still love ya, broken pinky and all! :)
You mean Aaron, Maddie?
-Stephe.
Stephe,
Oops, yep Aaron
-Maddie
lol
Wow, that makes me feel a little bit better about thousands of other people having the same name as me. Seriously, I looked it up once and it said something like 11 years in a row it was the number one name.
Does a broken pinky count? It's such a small bone to pick. Har har har. Thank you very much. I'm here all week.
It was a pretty gross break - normal to the first knuckle then it stuck out to the side away from my other fingers. The teacher on duty nearly didn't believe me when I said I had to go to the nurse!
