To Hat or Not to Hat?

I used to be very anti-hat. I just never felt they looked proper on me. Then one day I dared to wear one out with friends. It was a Newsie-like corduroy driving cap. To me, I looked cute until one friend looked at me & announced "I don't like you in hats." Unfortunately, I let this badly bruise my inner hat wearer's confidence.
BUT today, during a visit to Century 21, I tried on a few different cloche style hats and have decided I look damn cute in them. My boyfriend did not disagree, so I think I will purchase one in the near future.
I tried on a few that were a color, but I'm wondering if black is more practical. I have a few winter coats to wear said hat with.... what to do?

I love hats! I think you'll look lovely in them. The one with the bow is adorable.
Hats are totally cool for both guys and gals.
I think cloche hats would be amazing on you. I have lots of hats and I love hats, but I totally don't have a good face shape for hats, in general, and that's really disappointing to me. Guys totally rock hats all the time and we should totally be evening the score on this one.
@alicatstrut I said that to Nick. He was like "What would you ever wear that with?" and my response was "Everything." haha He wears his driving cap 24/7.
Exactly! An added bonus is that they're less cumbersome than parasols and still protect your face from sun. And cold, for that matter.
I love them! They make you feel special when your wearing one out! Remember fashion is supposed to be FUN!

i have just recently become pro-hat too! i had really short hair for a while but i'm growing it out for my wedding and hats are awesome! love the ones you chose!
I think these hats would look great on you, especially with your short hair. I like the second one the best.

Cute hats! I have hat issues too. Never seem to find the right one. Try one, and send us pics! These ones make me think of Angelina Jolie and her role in The Changeling.
I have a similar style hat in pink that I hardly ever wear even though it's perfect for rainy days. I just started wearing it again even though I suspect I look dorky in hats. Oh well, fortune favors the bold!
