I have one other obsessive internet haunt besides Kaboodle. That happens to be Yelp! Yelp is a little website where you can write reviews of restaurants, businesses, or basically anything with an address.

The Dallas scene is a little behind the on the Yelp fad (compared to places like San Francisco) but we're trying to catch up.

We had our first Dallas Elite Yelp event on Wednesday and it was totally amazing! Definitely a great start for our elite events. We had been throwing around the idea of a Hawaiian themed pub crawl on the talk boards, but our fearless leader, Melody L., took it to the next level and threw us a fantastic luau. Complete with fruity drinks, awesome decorations, and a hula instructor!

I was kind of disappointed that I was one of three people that actually dressed up for this event. I found an awesome vintage silk strapless dress that used to be my mothers hiding in the back of my closet. Paired with flip flops and a carved water buffalo horn necklace my best friend bought me while in Thailand and flip flops I look like I just walked off a beach.

Either way, it was an awesome event and I can't wait for the next. It's going to be themed "mullets and mustaches" so I have to think of something creative to do sans cutting my hair into a real mullet. I don't think I'm willing to go that far.
