  • What worked best for me was lots of moisture. Switch to a gentle shampoo and only use it as needed! Get a good moisturizing conditioner to use daily. Don't let TV commercials or magazines dictate your routine. Not certain there is such a thing as a temporary chemical relaxer. There are a lot scams and slick ad compaigns around relaxers. Don't believe everything they tell you. Report Spam Posted by kielocke at 10:12 AM on 01/02/09

  • I use lots of conditioner, and straighten my hair. I really don't like my curls, so I flat iron it, put on Bead Head: After Party by Tigi. It's a styling gel that does wonders for my dry, poofy hair. If I want my hair curly, I curl it afterward. Then it's completely controlled and pretty. • I have naturally curly hair too, I would look like bozo the clown if I didn't have my Cortex flat iron. I like using Pantene restoratives for moisture- they also hv really good hair masks u can give a try!! Lately, I've been doing the half-curled look; where I take all the hair on the crown of my head and tie it up, then I continue to straighten the perimeter and bangs, then maybe throw a tiny clip on each side and put some hairspray and shine spray on. This is a very easy look compared to doing ur whole head! It helps to get rid of all those tight "ratty" curls underneath and gives u length! Good luck, hope you figure something out! • I have really bad big naturaly curly hair too! But mine I just brush after I wash it, than I put some straightening balm in.....blow dry it. Than it's all poofy, lol. So than I use my straightener with big plates. A lot of work as you probably know. I heard that getting a perm can help....cause you can pick what kind of curls you want. You can get big lose curls, or little curls. Whatever you want. Report Spam Posted by nitrogirl at 12:04 AM on 01/30/09
