My girlfriends and I like to make outfit themes when we go out on the weekends. Sometimes it's a color theme, sometimes its based around a certain article of clothing. This past weekend, as we celebrated my roommate's birthday, we all wore dresses.
I purchased the dress from a local Forever 21. I decided to create a styleboard to help me decide how to wear it and when I sat down to do it, I was immediately thinking nautical. I kept it minor by adding the red peep-toe pumps from Bakers and a gold anchor necklace from F21. Mamor suggested a gold clutch, but I wasn't able to find one that I liked so I settled on a clutch I got last year from Urban Outfitters.

I like that you didn't go overboard with the nautical look. It's a subtle look and the anchor and red peep toe pumps work well together.

I love the theme ideas you guys have when you go out. That sounds like so much fun! I wish I could do that, but my friends and I are all strewn about - too far to hang out as much as we'd like.
