Bands I love: Silversun Pickups

Hey all!
I just wanted to write a quick blog about one of my current favorite bands, Silversun Pickups.
I first heard of them a while ago from Rockband, and upon further investigation, I have really enjoyed all of their music. If I had to describe their style, i'd say it's "Indy shoegazer does Smashing Pumpkins". It's very 90's grunge, but with a nice modern indy twist.
I just picked up their new album, Swoon, and it is phenominal. I can't stop listening to it! They are even getting some play on the Alternative Rock radio stations. Their new single Panic Switch is awesome, but Rusted Wheel on their previous album, Carnavas, is my favorite of all their albums.

I love them too! I bought Carnavas almost 2 years ago and their previous EP (can't remember the name). I'm happy they came out with new stuff.

I like the song but the video reminds me of the strobe light mouse hole they used to have @ Chuck E. Cheese.
i could have sworn there was a takeaway show with them on la blogotheque, but i searched for it and couldn't find it :/ it was in the back of a can and totally great and i'm going to be super pissed if it's lost forever
