Howdy, all! I need your help...
I picked up this cute Susana Monaco strapless dress in midnight (navy) last weekend and I need a shrug/cardigan to wear with it. I'm thinking cropped, since it has an empire waistline.
Any ideas?

Oo, that is cute. Any special occasion or just everyday wear?
@w1drwomn Thanks! Just everyday wear. Would also love to wear it in to the office.
I like the knitted shrugs by mucar on etsy. I had my eyes on this one

but there are some cute short sleeve ones too.

I love this etsy seller's shrugs:

Cute dress!
This is hard, I usually like to use a large scar like this one as a wrap and or tie in front if I need to be more modest. But I also like this cardigan, this shrug, as well as this one, and this one. This one is sort of a compromise between shrug and cardi but I'm not sure about the fabric. Good luck! Gorgeous dress!
Wait-- I wear scarf not a scar. Wearing a scar might be scary, don't do that.
You guys are awesome - thank you!!

I'd love to find one in white. Yellow might be super cute, too... I just ordered this one to give it a spin:
That is super cute-- great choice!
I love it!
I like that yellow one, but I am always drawn to longer cardigans. I would probably wear a light weight cardigan that is as long as the dress is (and I don't think it would look weird even if the dress has an empire waist).
@lavabunny & @alicatstrut Thanks guys! I'll let you know how it turns out - just got word from Etsy that it's on its way. (yay!)
@weslee I didn't even think about a longer cardigan! Have you seen any that might work?
I normally feel the same way - I have a few that I practically live in (this is one of my favorites).
I found this Topshop one that would look good with it.
A white denim cropped jacket would look really cute too.
Something like this would look really cool with it unbuttoned. Wear it with a statement necklace for a little boho thing. It's quite pricey though. But any knit cream colored v-neck vest would look good though, i think.
Good luck with the hunt! That dress looks so comfy too. I'd probably live in it during the summer if I had something like it.
(I hope my linkage worked right!)
What do you think of this shrug from Modcloth?
I think a dress like that, anything will go with it, from cardigans of cropped or normal lengths, jackets, or even a cute v-neck sweater would work as well.
I know I'm a little late to this conversation, but what about something like this?
