Well hello there everyone!

So i just wanted to quickly say thanks to everyone who commented on my last blog about high school classes.
I registered Tuesday, took about maybe 30 minutes?
Uhm, so my counsler and a teacher from my highschool talked to me and my mum and went over my classes.
I wanted to take Honors Biology, Honors Geometry, and Honors English WITH Spanish all 4 years. They told me I shouldnt. But I had my mind set on spanish but i didnt put it down. Im sooo confused cause i want take the right classes by taking honors but I REALLY want to take spanish this year. They said it would be too much since i will be doing lots of sports for the school and I will have "no social life" and too much homework.
Any help?
I dont know what to do about that. I was going to go talk to the counslers about going to take spanish if i am 100% sure i want too. But do you guys have any thoughts? :(
I also have health, PE 1, and signed up for floriculture, photography, nutrition, intro to art, and child development. (Some alternitive classes and some requests).

Also i will be leaving for Arizona in a couple days so i wont be really on, not that i am always on tho. :(

Quick review.

So since i am leaving for AZ i have been packing and getting things i need for my trip.
Alot of my friends and people from school have bought these chapsticks. And for me, well, lets just say i am OBSESSED with chapstick. I hate dry chapped lips, it annoys me. I usually always use my Blistex Lip massage but today my mom bought me the Eos Chapstick in Lemon Drop. She got me this one because it has SPF 15 and im going to hot weather. Ive only used it a couple times but i am in LOVE. It looks exactly like it looks above.
Ill link Eos's website below. But the chapsticks come in Summer Fruit, Lemon Drop SPF 15 (mine), Honeysuckle Honeydew, Medicated Tangerine and Sweet Mint. My lips feel really smooth. You can buy them pretty much at any drugstore i think and thats all i know. They cost about $3.50, but i think its worth it. I shall be trying to buy them all.

That's a tough choice on the classes. It does sound like it would be a lot of work, but its hard to choose between something you'd really enjoy and some things that are really good for GPA and look good on college apps later. You can always take languages in college, too. Sometimes they count as arts credits that you may need to have anyway. Just a thought. Otherwise, just have to go with what you think is most important for you, or see if there is another place where your schedule can give a little. Honors classes are tough, and you've got a lot of them, so its tricky, especially with your sports activities. But I hope it works out well for you whatever you choose. I almost bought some of that EOS stuff today - needed to round out an online order and thought about getting one of those to hit the $ amount I needed. Wish I would have now! I seriously LOVE my EOS lip balm. It smells so good. Mine is about flat now lol. I need a new one!Thats a hard one about school. I would say take Spanish and not another super hard one, but you dont have to take my word, I am a bit of an underachiever when it comes to academics. Go where your heart tells you! The GPA is a great point like @ agauthier79 I am now filling out college apps and sponsorships. With everything you are taking you don't want to stretch yourself too thin. I took Spanish for only two of my four years and it still looks great on your apps. So maybe if your mind is set on it you could see if you need to change classes 2 semester. Ive been through this when I did a bunch of honors classes - trust me when I say, you don't want to do a foreign language the entire time you do all those honor classes - you WILL be overrun and tired and not able to fully commit yourself to those classes - heres what you do, take spanish for two years (not your first) and just ease into it all - you need to see/feel what those honor classes and their workload is like before you get too crazy with this schedule!!NOW onto the lemon drop lip balm MMMM looks awesome Report Spam Posted by sweetshorty at 11:09 AM on 04/01/11

For the classes don't over work yourself with your first year. I took an AP my first year and then all Accelerated classes with that. I didn't take honors class, I just took accerleated bio and geometry. You should only take the classes for honors or AP that you are interested in or that you know you want college credit for. This year (I'm a 10th grader) I am taking one AP (History) and one honors (Chemistry) then the rest I have are accelerated (Algebra 2 and English) Then I just have spanish and PE. Be carefull what you take because freshman year should be fun for you, don't over work yourself. 10th grade year is the year not to have a social life - I am literally in the library every lunch, nutrition and after school to make sure I am on top of things but it's totally worth it for school. If you have anymore questions just message me! - and the EOS, I have the dragon fruit or summer fruit or whatever..and I don't know if I'm using it wrong or something but my lips dry out in like an hour... I think it's best to focus on the classes you're most interested when you also do sports to avoid a stress overload. Right now, I'm in 10th grade and I'm taking Honors Physics, Pre-Calculus, and four MYP classes (US History, English, French, and Drama). MYP is part of a program called IB, which is like AP on steroids. I do all of this while juggling soccer, sleep, and a social life, but I have straight A's. It's extremely stressful and seep depriving, but it will be worth it when I go to college. If you like school and are self motivated, go for the harder schedule!
