Well, half the office this morning was glued to the live blogcast from Steve Jobs' keynote for the launch of the new iPhone. It did deliver in more ways than not. Yes, it still does not make coffee and it still has limited memory. But it fixes almost all other flaws of the current iPhone and opens up a whole new world of possiblities with third party applications. I bought my iPhone last November and was rather skeptical that I would like the touch interface, the slow 2.5G speed and the half functioning e-mail/calendar/contacts. However, after playing with it for less than 2 hours I was addicted. My family and friends have since then persistently complained that I spend more time staring at the iPhone than talking to them. Pretty pathetic.. but I think it will pale in comparison to what lies ahead for me with this new toy. It will take the iPhone addiction to a whole new level with fast internet, full MS exchange connect and unlimited new games and applications. That really just means one thing, I formally and fondly bid farewell to my social life on July 11...
