When Segways first came out, they were rather hyped up and really did not live up to the promise. I mean trying to ride around in a helmet using a gyroscope is not exactly everyone's dream. But the X2 for golf from Segway is finally a product that is very lovable. Imagine the thrill of segwaying your way through 18 holes in record time. The X2 has a place for a golf set and your favorite beverage. It is eco-friendly and with a top speed of 12.5 mph it's nicely powered. The best part of this segway is the special tires which make it possible to motor over the turf and not have to stick to the cart path. If eight thousand dollars sounds like a lot for a better way to "walk" through a golf course, then you may want tro try renting one. Many of the golf courses are offering the X2 as an alternative to the regular cart rental!

Everyone looks /somewhat/ dorky on a Segway. With that in mind, I think you'd still look a bit less dorky in riding on one of these rather than in a golf cart. Golfing isn't about exercise, really. I agree with kabroskie. As a terrible golfer, golf carts have always been my favorite part of the sport. Also, the Segway lacks the convenience of sitting down and sun protection that the cart has. Report Spam Posted by mikhail at 9:26 PM on 04/25/09
