Backless Halter Dress by...
Hey Lovelies!

Homecoming is just around the corner and I've been looking for dresses for a while now. Since I'm a senior, this will be my last year to homecoming and i want it to be a memorable year.

This dress caught my eye and I just fell in love with it, but the price, not so much. It cost $250 plus tax and i wanted to see if you guys can help me find a dress similar to this one at a lower price or any other would be great.

This is also my first homecoming(my parents are strict) and i just wanted to know if you guys have any tips for me on anything i should do or not do and if u know any good sites that have nice dresses, feel free to share. Thanks!

  • Try Bebe, they always have things like this. Its a cute dress. Homecomming at my school was ok. But the senior prom was much much better. Are you planning to attend your senior prom? Report Spam Posted by jessicachanel at 10:01 PM on 08/30/09

  • Go hit up a nordstroms rack near your house! They always have chic and cute things for about 50% down the regular store price! I get lots of steals from there! Good luck!<3 t. Report Spam Posted by tatianatouch at 10:50 PM on 08/30/09

  • id think that would be a bit sexy for a high school homecomming. and you really don't need to go all out. its just homecomming, acutally you really dont need to go all out for any school dance, except for prom. just buy a nice dress, it didnt need to cost an arm and a leg, just some fun and cute. • Homecoming should be fun, but remember about Prom at the end of the year, at least at my school homecoming wasnt as much of a big deal as Prom, then you can have an awesome day of primping and then an evening/night of amazingness. I dont know where to find that dress but I would agree with @jessicachanel to check Bebe. Report Spam Posted by dreapuff at 11:51 AM on 08/31/09

  • I don't remember my homecoming being that fancy, but maybe yours is :) Love the dress you picked out, found some with the same tiered look at Forever21, cheap and cute! Good luck :) http://www.forever21.com/product.asp?catalog%5Fname=FOREVER21&category%5Fname=dress%5Fdressy&product%5Fid=2064503493&Page=1 http://www.forever21.com/product.asp?catalog%5Fname=FOREVER21&category%5Fname=dress%5Fdressy&product%5Fid=2062280565&Page=3 http://www.forever21.com/product.asp?catalog%5Fname=FOREVER21&category%5Fname=dress%5Fdressy&product%5Fid=2064511233&Page=4 Report Spam Posted by soofaye at 2:02 PM on 08/31/09

  • I love that dress, bandage dresses are the best! Here's one that's $65 but it's turquoise and one strap: http://www.asos.com/Lipsy/Lipsy-Knitted-One-Shoulder-Body-Con-Dress/Prod/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=650165&cid=5186&sh=0&pge=0&pgesize=200&sort=-1&clr=AquaThis one is black and actually ruched instead of bandage, but it creates a similar effect: http://www.bebe.com/Sexy-Ring-Back-Halter-Dress/dp/B002F7P29K?ieGoJane has GREAT formal dresses, and super affordable! Here's one that is a bandage style like you're looking for (you should check out their other dresses too!)http://www.gojane.com/31369-formals-satin-pleated-halter-dress.htmlHope you find what you're looking for! -^_^- have fun! • i think you can get some at forever 21 which are really pretty and also papaya or macys and jcpenney i hope you have a great time at homcecoming;D Report Spam Posted by hancutie261 at 3:41 PM on 08/31/09

  • I say you want to be somewhere in between forever 21 and Betsey Johnson quality wise. Also, go for a sophistocated style and color. You're a senior now, and you want to look classy! No more glitter and stretchy fabrics :DD I really like these: http://www.80spurple.com/shop/product/93437/228/purple-label-women-s-etta-taffeta-strapless-dress-red http://www.80spurple.com/shop/product/84492/42/purple-label-women-s-sam-tux-dress-pink (comes in black too) http://www1.bloomingdales.com/catalog/product/index.ognc?ID=440602&CategoryID=17460&PageID=17460*1*96*-1*-1*-1*19# Report Spam Posted by crayola09 at 5:05 PM on 08/31/09

  • This one is much less and still a red fitted halter, but I do agree that it seems a bit much for homecoming.http://www.cutesygirl.com/YUCCA_Satin_Halter-PID9544-MID108560.aspx?origin=google Report Spam Posted by icepixyjewels at 12:52 PM on 09/01/09

  • Amazon actually has some fun dresses . . .http://www.amazon.com/GUESS-Marciano-Halter-Sweater-ROCKGIRL/dp/B002ATEOOC/ref=sr_1_28?ie=UTF8&s=apparel&qid=1251834903&sr=1-28http://www.amazon.com/BCBGMAXAZRIA-Satin-Halter-Tiered-Dress/dp/B0029WWC7Q/ref=sr_1_69?ie=UTF8&s=apparel&qid=1251834916&sr=1-69 Report Spam Posted by icepixyjewels at 12:56 PM on 09/01/09

  • Check out Forever 21, or borrow a dress from a friend Report Spam Posted by thelovehammers at 7:59 PM on 09/01/09

  • Definitely shop around. Bandage style dresses are in style, and you'll probably find one for a much more reasonable price. Spend bigger for prom, not so big on homecoming. Its funny, at our HS, Homecoming was casual dress dance. No one dressed up for that dance. Not sure how that came to be since most Homecoming dances seem to be more formal. We had winter formal, and spring something or other and of course prom that were dressier occasions... Report Spam Posted by agauthier79 at 7:04 PM on 09/02/09

  • I put together a little slideshow of the Hottest Red Dresses Under $100 to help you out, @dalenaxx! It's in the Buzz Kit! (http://www.kaboodle.com/channel/community/post/ask-the-experts-thats-you) The first two dresses are super similar to the one you love and they're WAY CHEAPER!Enjoy! • I think between all the other recommendations and stellastylista's excellent slideshow.....you will be all set with help in what to do and what to wear. So what I have to say is....make sure you have a good time, be you, and don't do anything that will make your parents regret letting you go (I KNOW you wouldn't anyway) Let us know how it went!
