It is a known fact that Americans have a fascination with foreign accents in everyday objects. Recently, I’ve had a fetish with Morocco. It is a country on the northern border of Africa, who has a unique style with both Arabic and Roman influences. The fancy, grating-like design is the Moroccan trademark. It adorns everything from modern day pillows to traditional lanterns. Due to its steady, warm climate, dresses such as the one above are acceptable all year long. Despite the heat, women there wear longer, more conservative dresses. Lastly, though gladiator sandals are hot right now, the adorning jewels give it a spice of Morocco, along with the abstract design of the straps.
