I recently started a list called Beauty: meh listing the cosmetic products I have tried that have been failures or disappointments. Some of them, like MAC Lipglass I know are favorites for other people, but just don't do it for me (they make my lips too sticky). But others, like Kevyn Aucoin's famed Curling Mascara just never did anything for me, in fact I have several mascaras on my list that I have tried and felt meh about. My favorite mascara has turned out to be Clinique Lash Doubling Mascara. Or Lipfusion, lipgloss plumper which I think I don't think works, but maybe sometimes I try to myself the $36 was worth it? Also, my list contains some of my endless search for hair products that will do something for my thick hair. But anyway, do you have any beauty product disappointments you want to share? Recommendations for thick hair styling products would also be welcome (lol)!

I love that list idea! The worst product I've tried was La Mer's The Lip Balm. It was just like melting a candle and putting it on my lips. Creme de la Mer wasn't any better in my book, it made me break out :(.
I'm looking forward to reading your list. Yeah, mascara is impossible to shop for. I have a long list of failures too. :] oh, and mac lipglass IS incredibly sticky. I always put on a million coats of chapstick underneath it so it won't make my lips peel (that's how sticky it is) and that seems to work great

@nocreativity I forgot Creme de La Mer, I'll have to add it now. Someone gave me a jar and it did nothing for me, or for my mother to whom I passed it along. I'm not sure why this stuff is supposed to be so great.
one mascara i use that works great though ha is estee lauder illusionist(its waterproof) and is a great product
I am so over mascaras. I was at Sephora on Thursday looking and looking...it seems like everything I buy sucks. I give up. Heh.
i really like this blog. i never really have a hard time with mascaras. ive been using covergirl lashblast waterproof for a while now, and i love it. $7 and it really does elongate [this looks like i spelled it wrong, hah] and thicken my lashes. im having such a hard time lately with blushes. arghh..ive gotten quite a few over the last few months and they are never as flattering on as they look in the packaging. idk, probably because im pale as a ghost...but do you have any suggestions?
@cupcakexo I like my Kevyn Aucoin The Creamy Moist Glow in Pravella, And I am super pale.
I'll be sure to check it out and I know what you mean. I have a few lipglasses from MAC and I hardly ever use them because of the stick-factor

I'm always on the hunt for a great mascara. I've tried several that were bad, but I've included them in with the stuff I have so my list is all mixed together. Maybe I should separate them out along with the other stuff that I didn't like. :)
