EEE PC Asus 1000

I finally got my 10" eeePC! It's a bit chubby, but overall works well as a notepad and the battery life is decent at 4-5 hours with wifi/bluetooth enabled.
Pros
- 5 hour battery life
- Great for bringing along to do comparison shopping
- AC adaptor is small and travel size, now it just needs a windup cord
Cons
- Suspend and resume doesn't seem to work consistently, save your work before you put it to sleep
- Screen resolution is a bit small to be really useful for business
- Placement of right shift key for special people
Update - Sep-21One of the frustrating things about trying to use this laptop for business was the really low screen resolution (1024x600). However, I've found a few tricks that seem to really help.
- Change the DPI settings to 90%--this is by far the best workaround to getting more text on your screen.
- Autohide the system bar or move it to the sides.
- Install RocketDock that will give you an OSX style quick launcher option.
Still trying to get used to the ridiculously placed right shift key, but things are getting a bit better. There are also a number of hacks and general UI fixes over at eeeuser.com.
I also recently bought a 2.5" 160GB SATA hard drive at Fry's for $60. It was pretty easy to just swap it out and do an Asus restore on the brand new drive.
