So, my friends and I were in the pet store recently buying pressies for the pets, and I just had to go see the kitties (lol, wrong thing for this girl to do). I've been thinking of getting a kitten for my current kitty to keep her company when I'm at work, but up until now I haven't really looked into actually doing it. Anyway, we checked them all out and ended up holding and oooooohhhing and aaaawwwwwing over the only two kittens they had, sisters, about 4-5 months. They both warmed up to us pretty fast considering how nervous they were, and pretty soon were purring and fast asleep in our laps. :) Lol, it's amazing how much of a crowd a group of 20 somethings oooohhhhing and aaawwwwwing and a couple of kittens will attract.

So we talked about taking them home and decided we needed to sleep on it some. We said loooonnnngggg goodbyes...after filling out adoption applications of course...and told them we'd be back. Well, of course the decision had pretty much already been made, we just needed to figure out the logistics of it since I didn't really need two kittens on top of my already one cat. But being they are sisters we wanted to try and keep them together.

Next day we were back...did you ever think that wasn't going to happen??? :) We held them again and by now they had seemed to decide they were adopting us like it or not. So we made plans to take them home.

The grey and white one is really shy and nervous but can purr up a storm once she gets settled. She can also hold her own very well against her sister in a wrestling match. They are too funny to watch and have already developed a habit of having a huge wrestling match every morning. Unfortunately they seem to think 5 am is a good time to start. The orangish-brownish one is so outgoing and a bundle of energy. She can go non-stop forever it seems. Now all they need are names. We're working on that. Merry Christmas kittens!!!

You are already turning into a crazy cat lady! But you know I'm teasing right? They look soooo sweet. I seriously cannot think of a better Christmas gift than bringing home two adorable new pets. Aw, I'm so happy for you. Oh, you have to keep them together. So what if your only allowed to have two cats. Are the cat police gonna bust you.... Such weeties. I love the first pic because of their expressions and the third pic because of their blankies. OMgosh, now I get to hear your furry lil stories!!!!!! Hope their lil angels for ya : O ) We were thinking if we ever had gotten a black cat and a white cat that we would name them cloak and dagger. I'll have to ask Hubby about some suggestions. Yay, they are so spotty and cute! You can join my 3-Cat-Club. =) I like to give pets people names... It's a bit more dignified for them. So cute! Every time we're at petsmart or petco I stop and check out the kitties up for adoption. We have 2 at home already and the baby coming so we really can't get another but it's SOOOO hard to not take another home! I also volunteered for a while last year at the local animal shelter, working with the cats, and omg...I wanted to take each and every one of them home. Yay kitties!!! I had a hard time parting with a cat I saw in the adoption centers around the holidays too. Her name was Baby and she kept reaching her paw out to me. I already have 3 right now that aren't exactly getting along the best, so I figured I shouldn't throw anyone else in the mix. Glad you got some though. I'm not a huge cat fan but yours look so angelic and peaceful. My best friend has a slightly grumpy evil cat that has good intentions but ends up scaring people and hissing everywhere. It's scary! Aww, that's great that you were able to keep the two sisters together. I recently started volunteering at Petco taking care of the kittens and doing adoptions, and that's something everyone I work with is always hoping for. Congrats on your two new kitties! Oh man, I'm soooo jealous! I've been wanting my own kitty for ages. My parents' have 4 cats and I often cat-sit for them but it has been years since I've had a kitty of my own!
