It's been a long two months plus since I've been active on K, and for those of you who missed @lavabunny's blogazine about me (thank you so much LB!) here's a brief rundown, and an update.

I was hit head on by a drunk driver in the beginning of August. I have been in the hospital since, spending the first two weeks in ICU, which was pure hell (no electronic gadgets allowed). Last Friday, October 2, I finally got to come home (thank God) and am recovering very well. Doctors expect me to recover 100%. I'm still amazed by that prognosis, but someone has got to be watching over me.

I would really like to thank each and every one of you who sent me wishes and prayers and an extra special thank you to those of you who kept in almost constant contact with me through it all. It made life so much more bearable, even though I may not have been in the best frame of mind at times. Thank you.

I hope to be back kaboodling soon, like I used to, but I have so much going on getting back to a normal life and I'm still under rest and recuperate instructions. But I miss you guys.

Oh, as an added bonus...I met the most wonderful guy while in the hospital. Those of you who know me are going to be pretty surprised, given my track record with guys. I had almost sworn them off for good. But the world works in mysterious ways, and he is the most wonderful and sweet person I think I have ever met. He actually cares about ME. I can't wait to go on an actual date with him. It's been a long time since I've looked forward to that.

So, that's a quick wrapup for anyone wondering what became of me. I'm still here, and hope to be more often as days progress. Thanks for caring. It means, and meant, a whole lot.

I'm so glad to hear from you! A 100% recovery is great news, even if you're not there yet. I'm sure you'll be there soon though. Wonderful guys ARE out there, and I'm glad you've found one! It took me a long time too - after my previous relationship I thought my brain was wired wrong and there was no possibility of me finding a good match. Glad to hear you are on the mend! I had not seen that post by @lavabunny, for some reason and feel terrible now. I had no idea where you had been. Good to know you've found a good guy too, being in an accident is not a a good thing to go through, but it just shows that good things come out of the worst situations. Haven't really been on K this week, but I had a feeling I should check my messages tonight. Glad to hear the good news all around. Personally, every woman I've ever dated I met when I really wasn't looking to be in a relationship. I think its at those times that we can relax, be ourselves, and find someone who just likes us for who we are. Like the cute chick with the crazy sense of humor laid up in a hospital bed. Oh my goodness I had no idea! I had noticed you hadn't been around K much, but somehow missed the reason why! Glad to hear that you're hanging in there and that something good may come out of such a horrible accident.
