Villianess!

Antihero Perfume Oil

Okay. Regularly I am the kind of person who can get anything they want and never pay full price. The thriftiest kind of thrift shopper, the one that enters the store and heads straight for the clearance rack, and has an envelope full of coupons in hand for everything else.

And then I stumbled upon Villianess. (http://www.villainess.net/)

I have always had trouble finding perfume that I actually like, but the way they described their products just sucked me in. For once, a line of fragrance that wasn't based off "a young girl's daydream" or "the sparkle of diamonds" or something equally as ridiculous. These are for women that can appreciate wit, dark humor, and the occasional triumph of evil over good. My kind of people.

I decided that finding a perfume that I could appreciate was an acceptable reason to, for once, shell out $15 for a tiny 5mL bottle. My pick of the day was the fragrance "Antihero", which the website described as "Well-worn sweaty leather, the acrid smoke of cigarettes, and a soft side of honey and vanilla".

Today, my bottle came in the mail. I was excited to find that the company had included a free sample of their body scrub as well ("grundy" scented!). Of course, as soon as I had the tiny glass bottle out of the bubble wrap, I had to put it on.

At first the smell was OVERWHELMING. I instantly understood why the directions on the website had called for applying only one drop at a time. That is definitely all that is needed. But after coughing and gagging from the overdose, the smell settled in and was now giving off a sweet, smokey scent that I know I'll be suckered into re-ordering once this bottle is empty.

Not too sugary or flowery, and just evil enough to suit my needs, I would definitely recommend Villianess perfumes to those of us over here on the dark side. The next on my list to try are "Blood" and their signature scent "Villianess". I'll let you know how it goes.
