I love the simplicity of the room as it is, but it's driving me nuts that the rug isn't centered under the table.

Instead of a random end table with a short lamp throwing the proportion off in the room, I'd love to see a buffet table with high, dramatic lighting and some pops of saturated color.

Bright red on one of the walls, antique mirror with silver frame, espresso table with brown or hazelnut leather chairs, a wine buffet. table should have some silver or nickel in it.

Ok, so let's say I go with the red walls, and take the suggestion of dramatic lighting.....what do you think of this light: three light pendant? I think I'd probably use a different color than the one shown, but I kind of like the look of the three lights.

You're kitchen or your dining still looks nice, but you can add more life to it. I suggest that you repaint it with brighter colors, put some stylish curtain and hang some paintings or decors on your wall.You can also replace your table, why not try having a circle one.
