i love red, esp the bright, bold shades, but I have to agree with abbylessthan3. red is a very statement-making color, and if you wear it too often, you lose the statement

REd comes in a few shades. Some people look better in a more orange red, some in a more blue red. Find out which is your best shade and buy away!
Be warned, it has been studied and said that red reminds us of our roots and puts people in the mood...

Actually, I LOVE wearing bright colors...they make me feel happy...and I guess that means more to me than how I look on the outside...and I figure if the clothes fits, the color isn't such a big deal. IMHO.

Anyway, I like red but for some reason I always shy away from it. I generally lean towards raspberry colors, mostly pink-red's.
Most people tend to stick with neutrals. So I'm glad that you are confident enough to do something so bold!

I love red! I've found it looks pretty decent against my pasty skin :P I tend to keep the bright red like the skirt you pictured for special occasions and wear a deeper not so "Look-at-me!" red for every day :)

I love wearing red clothes or accessories. It's such a vibrant colour and always gets attention. I love wearing a plain black outfit too with really bold red lipstick.

Red is the power color. Wearing it sends the clear statement, "I'm in control here." It is distinctly different from pink, or any of the purple-tending shades (maroon, merlot, burgundy, magenta, etc), or the orange-tending shades (which tend to look more rusty). The sexy quality of red I think comes partially from our association between red and love, roses, even blood. But it also comes from that quality of control: for many guys, a woman in control is a very sexy thing.

I only have one red t-shirt that I hardly ever wear. Actually, my warm-weather biking shirt is red as well -- the folks I ride with were just saying this weekend that it was useful for spotting me at a distance, so I think there's also a quality to red that causes you to stand out when you wear it because our eyes are attuned to it. I don't have any red work-clothes, but I think I need to get a red tie for the right occasions.
