There's a first time for everything, right? So if you haven't tried bright blue nail polish, now is the time. Creative Nail Design makes diving into the blue a little less intimidating with their Hot Pop Blue color (about $6), an electric sky blue. I swept this color on last weekend and my nails are still in tip top shape thanks to Speedey (about $6), a daily-defense top coat made by the same brand.

I've found that this summery blue goes surprisingly well with everything I've worn all week (either that, or no one has told me I'm a walking fashion faux pas). The color makes me smile and reminds me of all the watery blue pools I'm dying to dive into. Now I'm just waiting for the sun to get in the mood to come out and play.
