BEAUTY BLOG

Nov 6, 2009 in Beauty
bareMinerals ORIGINAL SPF... Revlon - Revlon®... JK Jemma Kidd Ultra-Plush...

I'm back with a beauty blog!!!

I desperately need a new foundation, black eyeliner, and black mascara.

My Choices
More ideas appreciated :)

Foundations
I need a powder foundation cause no matter how thin or oil-free the foundation is, i still break out!

- Bare Minerals ORIGINAL SPF 15 Foundation $25
I've heard great reviews (from @crayola09) and others and i would luv to try it out...worth the $25??

- MaybellineNewYorkPure stay Foundation $?
Don't know too much about...it sounds great...has anyone used it?

- Neutrogena Mineral Sheers Foundation Compact $11.99
I really like neutrogena's products...so maybe??

- Boots No. 7 Mineral Perfection Foundation $11.99
It looks nice...i should probably do more research...but that's why I have ya'll right??? hehe

Black Eyeliners
I would totally wear black eyeliner (in a non-goth way) like everday. I have Rimmel eyeliner right now and it smears and turns gray by the end of the day....

-
Revlon Colorstay Liquid Eye Pen $?
I've heard great reviews and it looks great...but I'm still not sold...

- I NEED MORE IDEAS lol

Mascaras
I obviously wear mascara everday...i pile it on (not toooo much tho lol) to really show off my eyes...I NEVER leave the house without mascara! I need a mascara that really thickens up my lashes, I have long lashes but they're sparse, I guess you would say...Also, right now I'm using Sephora Brand mascara and by the end of the day it's faded and makes me look more tired than I already am!

- JK Jemma Kidd Ultra-Plush Volumizing Mascara $15
I had foundation from this brand and it didn't really last well, but maybe the mascara does??

- I NEED MORE IDEAS!

THANKS FOR THE HELP!!! :)

Much Love,
Abby ♥

personally i love macs mineral foundation-so would go with either of the mineral foundations above. see if you can try em on in store -that way you'll know which one you like better: easier to apply, feels better on,.looks better on, etc. am new to eye pencils so can't help u there!

hmm so for foundation, i've been using Bare Minerals for a while now and its always been great for my skin! however, i have a lot of redness and it doesn't cover all the way. for eyeliner that will NOT smudge, i love Urban Decay 24/7 pencils and Stila's Smudge Pots..they last soo long! As for mascara, not sure about any JK products but check totalbeauty.com...they have reviews for eeeverything!

get the neutrogena foundation.(: also, there's this CoverGirl micro mineral one that works really great too. and loreal eyeliners (i think that's the one..) are really great and so are the ones that you can get in Victoria's Secret. My fave mascara is LashBlastLuxe. it really brings out your eyes with its subtle shimmers! :D

Last weekend i went to my local macys and went up to a guy at the MAC section and was like " I need new foundation" and I suggest you do that to! The guy who did my makeup was FAB, he knew so much and was asking me a bunch of questions on how my skin is, what coverage i like, etc... I loved what foundation he chose and it still makes me look flawless. It is a tad bit expensive(!!) but its well worth it. It lasts for soo long ( my friend did the same thing around 3 months ago and she hasnt had to re-stock!) and MAC's waterproof eyeliner is crazy amazing too.
I used to Diorshow for mascara but I just couldnt afford it anymore. I read on a covergirl add that if you like diorshow, you like Covergirl's Lashblast (luxe or the....orange one( i cant remember its name) I LOVE them. I have the lashblast luxe and the orange, in both waterproof and non. Its amazingggg.
good luck and happy searching!

I'm gonna make this short:
Foundation- Bare Minerals :D
Eyeliner- any M.A.C. eyeliner, Covergirl line exact liquid eyeliner, I've also heard good things about Sephora brand eyeliner
Mascara-Maybelline Colossal Volum' Mascara, M.A.C. Plush Lash Mascara
Honestly, anything M.A.C. will work amazingly :)

I loved what foundation he chose and it still makes me look flawless. It is a tad bit expensive(!!) but its well worth it. It lasts for soo long.

I think Bare Minerals would be worth the $25, it has such good reviews. I wouldn't recommend liquid eyeliner, its so dangerous! lol If you mess up, its like you have to start over completely. I would go with a more expensive brand of eyeliner, the cheap ones tend to not adhere to your skin well. For mascara definitely go with the Covergirl LashBlast. The big orange bottle! lol
Well good luck!

I use the Bare Minerals foundation, it covers well and lasts all day. It's well worth the money. I agree with other posters though, go to a store and get some advice, it's always worth a try. I don't use liquid eyeliners much, but Stila Smudge Pots (more of a gel) are long-lasting and easy to use. Urban Decay have pots of liquid eyeliner which are good also. I have sparse lashes and I found Estee Lauder Sumptuous Bold Volume Lifting mascara (think that's what it's called) good. It was too wet for a few weeks, but when the formula dries up a bit, it works wonders.

Bare Minerals and i say CoverGirl LashBlast Luxe or just LashBlast.

Bare Minerals! Totally worth it.

My fave liquid eyeliner that I've tried thus far is Dr. Hauschka Liquid Eyeliner . It has a super fine brush and gives a great line. Use short strokes and slowly connect them to get a perfect line. Now, for waterproof liner, Wet N Wild liner is thick and dark and smudge proof as well as cheap. However, the brush is the worst ever so you need to use your own brush to get a decent line and wash that brush as soon as you are done applying or else it gets gunked up.

As far as mascara goes I have been loving L'Oreal Telescopic mascaras. They are affordable and really make my lashes pop. I got the Clean Definition and the other one in the gold tube at WalGreens BOGO. A very good deal. I also like the Clinique mascaras. Not enough to pay full price but I always snap them up when my mom decides she doesn't want hers during the gift days.
As far as bare minerals goes, since you are a Sephora shopper take advantage of their free gifts. Or beauty.com. I have seen trial sizes of Bare Minerals with purchase on both sites quite often. It even comes with a mini kabuki brush! CUTE!
