Room Redecoration

Nov 7, 2009 in Home and Garden
Ottoman Moss Rib Shower...
Okay, so I was gonna find pictures of what color my bed comforter looks like, and my wall color to better help you guys view my room, but I couldn't find any. My curtains (I have two windows) are a bit darker than this. My bed is stripes, like no bigger than an inch wides each (its a queen bed) and the color of the stripes are cream, reddish brown, tan, dark tan, purple-ish brown, and like a yellowish light tan. I know, sounds weird but it looks really cool. Then my carpet is tan, so a good neutral color, and then my walls are Hershey Chocolate brown. :D

The reason why I am telling you this is because last night a stupid thought wouldn't get out of my head, and I don't think it will till I at least have a plan working toward it. I want to redecorate my room. I was thinking like a pleasantly (sp?) light green for my walls, and then like a blue that goes great with the walls for my bed, and then some sort of brown curtains to accent them.

I would really appreciate any advice, or if you have ideas! Oh, if you do suggest color scemes, no orange, no pink, no yellow, and no red.

I think dark brown goes well with the kind of green in the picture. I like creams and pale blues/aquas for bedrooms too.

what shade of blue are you thinking of using? i totally agree with x0xsharicex0x's comment about the creams and aquas (maybe even shades closer to teal?) to offset the neutrals. i love that your walls are chocolate brown - it's such a beautiful warm comforting shade. hgtv.com is a great site to check out for decorating tips/advice :o)

l think red goes well with this also

Take some pics of your room so we can see! An easy way to redo walls is to buy some fabrics and pin them up. Sheer sparkly green alternating with a cream fabric would look awesome with your chocolate brown walls and the curtains.

That chocolate brown sounds so. . . .well, yummy. Maybe keep an accent wall of the brown for a rich focal point?
