50 things about me
hey guys! here is some more about me...
1. my favorite time of day is the early morning with the golden sunshine coming through my kitchen windows.
2. i sometimes wish i would have been a teenager in the 60s or 70s.
3. i am part irish and part native american.
4. i looove to cook and most of the time i never make the same thing twice. [there are exceptions of course.]
5. i love road trips
6. cats are my favorite animal
7. traveling the world is my biggest goal in life. so far i have been to 19 states and 9 countries.
8. medium format photography excites me so much.
9. i'm not sure if i ever want to have kids. if i did i might adopt instead.
10. summer is my favorite season. i dislike winter.
11. i love comedies and i hate HATE violent or gory films.
12. my style icons are twiggy and audrey hepburn.
13. my dream job would be a nature photographer or an interior decorator
14. i love getting lost in a good book.
15. my favorite flower is a poppy.
16. i get rediculously excited about going out to eat for breakfast. i mean lunch and dinner are great too but you can't beat pancakes and hashbrowns.
17. i love dark chocolate. most of the time i think milk chocolate is too sweet. i used to be the opposite when i was younger though.
18. i hate it when people get all up tight about capitalization and punctuation when you are typing online. cant anybody relax once in a while??
19. i hate it when people are close minded about trying new foods. especially when i cook something that i KNOW is good but theyre all "eww that looks weird". grow up! thats how 2 year olds talk. thankfully my husband is VERY open minded to food. i dont know what i'd do if i got stuck with a "meat and potatoes man" HA!
20. i wish i knew how to sew because i would TOTALLY make all my own clothes with vintage material out of vintage patterns. but alas, sewing machines scare me.
21. i'm fascinated by tornadoes
22. i'm terrified of spiders
23. i'm allergic to eggs ONLY if they are undercooked. i'm also allergic to salt water taffy, i once broke out into major hives after eating it
24. i LOVE birds and bird decor especially swallows and blue birds.
25. i love koi and big goldfish.. i wish i had a pond with them in my yard
26. i hate rain unless its at night
27. i can't stand flaky people. if you say you're going to do something, DO IT.
28. i like film way better than digital. my hubby gets annoyed with it lol.. he bought me a nice digital nikon camera but im always using my cheap holga or other film cameras instead.
29. i CANNOT stand arrogance.
30. i had a lot of different pets when i was younger.. cats, dogs, turtles, a hamster, hermit crabs, rabbits, a goat, fish.. of course not all at the same time lol.
31. my favorite way to get exercise is running or swimming with my husband.
32. i'm realllly quiet unless you get to know me pretty well. but i hate it when people are always like "do you ever speak?"
33. i love making terrariums. and putting miniture decor in them..so cute. i have 2 in my house and i made one for my mom and one for my mother-in-law.
34. i used to know how to crochet pretty well. i would like to get back into that.
35. my vision is near perfect.
36. i don't like big dogs much. just small ones like yorkies, pommeranians and chi-chi's
37. whenever i see an antique car going down the road i just HAVE to stare at it until it disappears. it borders on dangerous when i'm driving.. i wish they still made them like that!
38. i have a pretty small family
39. i love taking walks at night with my husband, especially when we can hear the owls in the trees.. we like to call them hibous :)
40. there is a duck pond near our house and i love going to feed them
41. i think my mom is one of the best cooks around.
42. i had a polka dot wedding cake at my reception. it was white w/black dots and red gerber daisies on top.
43. except for 2 times in my life i have ALWAYS had the lowest score of everyone i'm with whenever i go bowling. i still love it though.
44. i'm ocd.
45. i was home schooled from 8th-12th grade.
46. i have an associate's degree.
47. i'm easlily entertained
48. i love going berry picking in the summertime
49. i have hard wood floors in my house and i LOVE them. i don't ever want carpet again.
50. i am really sad that polaroid has gone out of business.

My apartment would be perfect if I had hardwood floors. Alas, I am stuck with yucky carpet. :(

i loved polaroid stuff!Waaa!My mom still has a polaroid camera,but i don't see how shes guna b able to add more sheets n stuff now :(
I love road trips, but only with the right people. And I love hard wood floors, and I refuse to lay carpet down. And I have stockpiled some polaroid film for my camera but now I feel like I can't use it because that will be the end.
So much in common lol I totally agree with 2, 3 [im part irish too :)!], 4,5,14,24,27,29,38,44,&46. :)

Summer is my favorite time of year and I love to cook (grill especially) and I always try new things, but have my favorite standbys, too. Love the picture, too. :)
I wholeheartedly agree with lavabunny. Road trips are awesome, with the right people. They pretty much suck (for me) when someone who isn't any fun has to come along.
I love antique cars (wish they still made them that way too) and people who aren't afraid to try new foods. My husband lived in the Philippines, so he's pretty much open to trying whatever. My last boyfriend before I got married only ate french toast, cheese pizza and hamburgers. Yeah, only a whole lot of annoying...
@gregsgal I stumbled across some show on the Food Network the other day about "adult picky eaters." It was totally beyond picky eating, though. Like, this one dude only ate cheese and bread. Another woman would only eat "simply cooked meats," fried potatoes, and bread. It was so strange.

lol...I have to agree about picky food eaters....I'm so thrilled that I married a fairly open minded eater too---he hated fish though when i married him, but now he eats sushi!!! (SCORE!)
another thing---breakfast is great---we sometimes do brinner (credit: Scrubs)
breakfast for dinner and the hubby makes his homeade pancakes and we get really yummy hash browns....sooooooooooo good after a long crummy day!
I get bored eating the same thing a couple days in a row (the joys of left overs!). I couldn't imagine eating the same thing EVERY SINGLE DAY!
@jennic: I love poppies too. And any time I think of them, I hear the wicked witch of the west saying "Hmmm, poppies" in that voice of hers. : D
#24! i love birds and bird things too. especially swallows. doves. i just adore your bird list too. im not a fan of like owning a bird or anything, i just loveee decor or even tatoos of birds. so beautiful and so peaceful too. overall, it was great to read these facts about you. :-]

Wow! We have so MUCH in common! (1, 4-5, 7, 10-11, 14, 17-19, 21-22, 24-25, 27, 29, 31, 32, 37, 39, 43, 45-47.) It's like every other one and the others are really close to what I could write myself, like I'd LOVE to have wood floors, and I would have liked to have lots of pets growing up, etc. . . . It's nice to get to know you! :}
I love kitties and I am also easily entertained and amused.

WORD! Sometimes, if we go out to Dennys or IHOP at dinner time... i will still go ahead and order breakfast!

I loved your whole list. I am so scared of spiders its not even funny, lol. I think Audrey Hepburn is a fab style icon. I also love birds (I have a parrot). I also wish I grew up in the 1960s-70s.
